No one even asks anyone to display their faith on their sleeves. The 57% majority community in the state of Punjab never allows any 43% minority community to be the Chief Minister of the state but 2% minority in India headed India for 10 years by the 85% majority. This proves that Hindus do not consider Sikhs as separate, instead because of their much greater contribution to the country than their size in the population and that they belong to the larger Sanatana Dharma, Sikhs are greatly respected in the country. If some Sikhs feel alienated it is only a perception which they should removed. It is unfortunate that the present ruling dispensation in Canada is associating with some lumpen elements settled there and creating problems for India. Huge difference between these two protests. In Canada it was a national movement. In India it was mainly done by the rich Punjabi and some Haryana farmers for their own monopoly politics. They blocked the highway to the national capital for many months. Causing public suffering and loss of thousands of crores of rupees in the process. While the rest of India didn't participate in that manufactured protest. Punjab doesn't produce the highest Rice or Wheat yet govt procurement from Punjab is the highest. My personal opinion as an Indian is that there was nothing wrong at all in Trudeau dressing up in Indian traditional clothing as he did THAT respectfully.......don't agree with people that he was clowning around in these clothes. The differences between the Farmer’s protest in India and the Freedom Convoy in Canada is that in late November 2021, the Modi administration repealed all three farm bills the farmers objected to during months of protests. This was after fatalities numbering into the hundreds and infrastructure damaged by the protestors and police alike. (Communications towers and highways) Our government made no concessions, held no talks and the truckers did not damage any infrastructure and the emergency act was invoked after three weeks. I can see why the Indian government and media is annoyed with Trudeau’s hypocrisy
Further, Canadians must also know and it must be acknowledged that the so called "Farmer's Protest" in India was funded by Khalistani elements sitting in Canada. Farm laws were empowering the common farmer by allowing them the Right to choose their customer without approaching via the Middlemen (also called 'arhatiyas') whom are corrupt and gobble up huge sums, giving only a share of the profits earned to the common farmer. The common poor farmer (Kisaan) in India don't have the money to even protest (we are farmers, my own family and we know that). The protest happened in just two states and that is Haryana and Punjab both bordering the Capital City of New Delhi. Rest of India had actually accepted the Farm Bills. In Rajasthan near the area of Bikaner where if you go and check, Farmers exercise their Right to Buy and Sell products to whomsoever they want along with Govt. Cold storage to which they could sell their products and earn huge profits by doing so. The Farm Bills were bringing this into the foray. The economically poor farmers who were working on the agricultural lands of the rich ones sitting in Canada and poorly remunerated for their work were now funded by the same elements for the Farmer's Protests. If anyone had watched the protests up close, there were "camps" set up and "gyms" with latest equipment among other things like coolers etc. found in the carnival kind of tents where the "protestors" made their temporary address during the protests. The so called MSP (Min. Support Price) is just excess paid by the Govt. to the farmers which always ends up in losses as the so called "Farmers" over - utilize the provisions including fertilizers, water etc. provided to them. Due to this over utilization had slowly eroded soil fertility in the respective states and the returns from the produce started decreasing. This is why the Farmers here were "dependent" on Govt. MSP to run their lives and business and that is on the pretext why the protests started which Canada wholeheartedly supported WITHOUT knowing even one cause behind it. Terrorist elements seeped in and supported these protests making it dangerous to not only the national capital region but to the entire subcontinent and India itself. So please, requesting all Canadians to do their research prior to supporting any cause or any protest on this Earth 🙏 Post these protests, the NIA (National Investigative Agency) of India set up camps in Canada, US, U.K etc. and they determined the funding source. Immediately the message was passed to the Indian Immigration Dept. and they cancelled all the PIO (People of Indian Origin) card holders' validity and usurped their properties in India as it was illegal for any foreign nationality to have a land in India. Trudeau supported all this nonsense and allowed anti - Indian resolutions and actions which we will never forget or forgive.
