Outtakes from an April 30, 2010 interview with Lillian Gobitas Klose at her Kingdom Hall near Atlanta, Ga. for the Robert H.Jackson Center. The interviewers were nationally renowned TV personality Phil Donahue and Greg Peterson, co-founder of the Robert H. Jackson Center located in Jamestown N.Y. Lillian was a named party in the Jehovah's Witness Supreme Court case regarding mandatory flag salute.

The courage comes from Jehovah God's holy spirit, the same holy spirit that emboldened Moses to speak to Pharaoh and David to confront Goliath and Jesus to face the torture he had to endure. It is only those who have a deep appreciation for spiritual things, a knoweldge of God's word the Bible and a love for Jehovah God that receive that spirit and THAT is what gives us the courage not only to preach to people who are "not rightly disposed" but endure intense persecution.

No, nothing like that at all actually. TRUE Christians are "persecuted for righteousness sake". Homosexuals are persecuted because of their godless lifestyle. While it is not deserved and no one should persecute anyone - they are two entirely different things. God will be the judge..

You brought up homosexuality, I didn't! I told you exactly what the Bible says and if a homosexual person asks me this in my ministry I show them from the Bible what God's view of it is. Mine doesn't really matter. I've studied the Bible with a few gay men and one of them - when he introduced me to his friends said: " This is the most Christian person I've ever met". He understood that while I agreed with God's view of homosexuality I did not treat him any differently than anyone else. Unfortunately he died before we were able to get very far, but he was a wonderful person. I look forward to seeing him again in the resurrection. Hopefully then he will be able to make the changes necessary to have God's approval. I certainly hope so anyway. But it's up to him.

I never said that. I don't think being "gay" makes you courageous, but I think anyone can be courageous to a degree.

This brought tears to my eyes, the bravery of this wonderful woman … knowing JW's are such a humble kind people...hurts my heart. I know this was to be expected by others. Jesus warned us that this would happen. They hated Jesus and his preaching...they would hate his followers too. Thank you Lillian for your encouraging stories.

It's honourable for every one who is called HIS WITNESS, to suffer, to speak and even - if it shall be that way - to die for HIM, for to show that there is only ONE PEOPLE that follows Christ's rules and example: the people for HIS name JEHOVAH (Acts 15:14)!

This youtube doesn't speak at all about homosexuality so why do you continue to bring it up?

The "society" doesn't say that God's word does - they just agree with it. I'm not arguing about words I'm answering your questions. You are continuing to question me. Are YOU argueing?
