Oh my lima beans were my late husbands favorite! I haven't made them in a long time but Im sitting here mouth-watering. I better stop at the store after church and get busy cooking.
Making this now...the house smells amazing. Since my husband does not eat pork, i bought beef neckbones. Yum! Thank you for posting this amazing recipe.
You and I preach from the same Bible. I cook my dried legumes the same way. I started adding ham hocks in the past because of you. And I prepare the ham hocks the same way. I have a man nearby who grinds corn on halves. Sure is great having freshly ground cornmeal.
Lima beans and cornbread. One of my favorites. Thank you for sharing. We make it similar. I was looking for a recipe that uses the Instant Pot. Your video confirms the ingredients. :)
This is a staple meal in my home. The only difference is that I use frozen Ford Hook lima beans to reduce my cooking time. Plus, I just like the color of the Ford Hook limas. Your cornbread looks so good, too.
I love this, i dont add corn starch, i just smash some of the fully cooked beans and that thickens up the gravy really nice. , you got my mouth watering, and i also add sugar to my beans, southern cooks do that!
I made pinto beans and cornbread today, i added the leftover ham from christmas ( i only buy ham that is non spiraled, thus i put large chunks to simmer )
@@shodidcooking yes ma'am! I have never tried cooking any Lima bean dishes. I have got to try. I will be searching some more recipes:) you have peaked my interest !
Ms Dianne you can sure enough cook!! And I thought my cornbread looked pretty. We do alot of the same things. I cook a little bit on my channel but not too much. I’m very impressed with how well organized you are and I’m wondering if you were in the military it’s that perfect. I’m definitely a new subscriber and I am looking forward to going through the videos you have posted too. The Cajun chicken sounds like it would be a big hit with my hubbykins. He loves all things Cajun. Well God bless you abundantly and I wish you all the best!😊🌷💗🌸
Lima beans weren't my favorite during childhood, but that looks like a meal I could eat everyday! Time to go slap my mama. Hopefully she won't press charges. **fingers crossed**
I wish I could cook even half as good as this. I tried and it was so bad I had to throw away the pot. I'm taking notes for the next pot. Thank you so much for this amazing video.
@@shodidcooking Oh, thank you. Cooking Lima beans, ham kocks & neck bones this week like I've done dozens of times before, but have been looking for a good cornbread recipe. Yours looked great! Thanks again!!
@@shodidcookingI like your cooking and the food did look good but why put sugar in beans and also the cornstarch beans already make a natural thick gravy on their own
