Oh my God!!!! This is a miracle for me!! One of my leg (right one) in 5 inch shorter than the left one,so imagine my pain and suffering, i went to south africa in 2004 for having a surgery, but doctors there said if the touch my shorter leg i will never be able to walk again, so i had wear some correcting shoes ( they were soooo ugly that i stopped wearing them). Now at my adult age i have back pains and sometimes i feel like my right leg can't support the weight of my body while walking. I really need to get examined and have this surgery. Let me clarify a little. I had an external fixator on my entire leg. The purpose at the time was to straighten my leg not for lengthening. So my knee didn't bend for 4 months. This absolutely added to the stiffness issue. I never really recovered my regular range of motion that i had prior to surgery. The only real long term issue that I had was a little nerve damage. The bottom on my foot became sensitive. That lessened as years went by.
@@jake9854 it really didn't effect me. Just hurt a little more if you step on something. With this process you shouldn't have that issue. If you need a lot of length. You'll probably need to do this more then once. It's a commitment.

Hi. I have a mild case of Cerebral Palsy, due to this, my right leg is 4 cm shorter than my left. I have really bad back pain and I’m wondering if this will help me. But another thing I want to mention is, I get extremely upset when I see myself in a full length mirror because of my height (4 foot 11 inches) I know that there are people shorter than me, but I would feel a lot more comfortable and confident in myself if I was taller. Is the rod removed from the body afterward? I just don't want to have any foreign in my body. also, the rod may take up space from the bone marrow, which produce blood cells.
