I just finished installing the precision fit recoil pad on my Mossberg Maverick 88 shotgun, it went on easily and is a perfect fit!!! I'm not sure why others on here are having issues but as for me....I love this product!!!
I have a Remington Model Seven that came with a LimbSaver recoil pad and it recently stuck to my carpet while standing behind a door. Apparently, this was a problem for several years from 2005 to 2009 or so. Remington is sending me a new pad, but beware as this makes a real mess in your carpet as the sticky goo from the pad is really hard to get out of carpet.
I been trying to find one for my Mossberg Maverick 88 Security and can't. I can't find one where the hole line up right. Your website is complicated. Only one that comes close is 10823 as far as the hole lining up. Help!!!
I have a Remington 770 in .308. Which of these products would you recommend? I think I'll like the slip over the best, so if that will work, which size should I get? Thanks
Having just gotten off the phone with customer service, I now find out that this isn't a precision fit as it pertains to the screw holes. It's more of a general fit, in that it generally doesn't fit the Ruger M77. Now I have to decide, drill 2 more holes into the pad, drill into my stock or return it and buy a pad from another company.
Hi J Coll, sorry you are having trouble with the fitment of our recoil pad to your stocks. We try to be as exact as possible, but unfortunately, there are so many variations of stocks out there that it's hard to produce recoil pads to fit them all. The M77 stocks are a classic example, as their wood stocks can vary in size and shape and depending on the year and model, can require custom gunsmithing. If you are having issues with a composite stock, please let us know and we will look into the issue further. If you are still looking to have a recoil pads put on, we do offer custom-fit recoil pads that look factory and work great.
