The thing about their music for me is that that its fun. Not fun in a way "damn its sounds beautiful" but rather in "wait what are they doing now? This instrument in that role? And x is doing y!?" way. I have genuine fun time when listening to this.
The funny thing is that the songs in the story before the boss are just jazzy and do not have any dubstep elements, and suddenly you get jumpscared by that theme. I jumped out of my chair when I heard it for the first time
You can tell Studio EIM was cooking once again with this one. They make most Limbus Company themes including the middlefinger battle theme and Canto VI boss 4 theme from recent reactions. Mili only really does the final boss themes of each Canto.
initially I called it "Dubstep electroswing" during the bossfight also, somebody really should start recommending Guilty Gear Xrd and Strive ost because there are so many actually great tracks there
Yeah, fighting game music in general, I think the best in current generation is SNK's work on KoF 15 still though. Strive is great although I mostly listen to it outside of the game
@@chris.pbacon7949 maybe, but how many fighting games make vocal tracks with lyrics that go in depth about each character's personality and backstory? I love GG's ost for how unique every track is and how fitting it feels for every character
Not just Steamstep, we gotta take it further. Its the subgenre of Clockstep. You can hear the constant ticking of the clocks gears through the song. Which is another amazing thing to slip in there with everything thats already going on.
You may notice that this sound track is very busy(with lack of a better word) a bunch of different things are happening at the same time. This is because it’s the boss theme of a character that despises idleness.
@@MrJpc1234 that's more the problem atm. I used to stream on twitch but it got harder to do both once i started videos here. That said, if things keep doing well, it's looking like I may be able to quit my part-time and go full time content next year 👀🙌
For those who don't know, this is is the boss music for an event/side episode, where you're fighting the in-universe equivalent of 13 guys in a trenchcoat.
Bro, prepare steampunk music but have something that can bend time. Studio EIM: -------- Catharsis , How about going to "Library of Ruina, Floor of Language, Gebura Theme " next time?
Studio EIM has done some amazing music for Limbus, personally my favorite is definitely "Canto IV Boss 1 Battle Theme" because it's such a departure from so much of the other music and even themes in the game.
still think you should really look at the Normal battle themes, like Limbus Intervallo IV-1 Norm battle theme from the same channel, it all goes hard, give em a listen
Great analysis, as always. I'm in love. I don't even know myself what to call this. Swinging steampunk dubstep? It's just cool to listen to. High energy. Unpredictable. Unexpected to hear relatively new sound. In any case, my recommendation - "Color your night" from Persona 3 Reload.
the official studio EIM yt channel uploaded a bunch of limbus boss themes recently including this one, and their track length is considerably longer (although idk if the actual content is different or its just a different loop/looped a few times) a bit odd to use a reuploaders video, but i do get it since the studio EIM yt page doesnt upload the majority of the songs they make, and the OG project moon music uploader stopped doing them too
I've rewatched this video for the third times already, I really enjoy your reaction and hype!!! The song did THE SAME to me it's so FIREEEEE. I've always loved Electro Swing but rarely find something hits this hard. And Steamstep? Yeah, I take that one. That goes to my vocab now LOL
limbus music gets better and better with new cantos. there's still music from library of ruina which is way cooler and etc, but now we have some memorable osts from limbus
while you probably can't do a video on them due to copyright, I suggest on your own time checking out "ems' delicious garbage" they do mashups of Limbus and other songs, and they have no right to work as well as they do it's insane!
Fun fact Studio EIM has been around for quite a long time working on mobile and online games like Vindictus before their popularity exploded with Ruina and Limbus. It is also responsible for one of the most played tracks for anyone that plays Osu and games of that genre. I want to recommend some old Mili Song Personal Momocashw/Cassie Wei favorit song : Unidentified Flavorful Object (she say it in QnA) Acapella Mili : Sacramentum uncommpained Hymne for Torino Unique Video : Imagine Flight Mili Cover other Band Song H∆G : Colorful I hope you or new Mili fans read this comment
You should've credited Studio EIM's upload. That channel you linked to complies the tracks from PM games, not the one making them. Although they also credit the original makers, you should still credit the original directly.
I credit the video I use directly. The actual artists and producers get credited below the break as long as they're available, eim's channel is tagged there every time
