Most of the hate was around her dress design, lack of embroidery and "not like 2011 Alice". I think, it is more of an expectations vs reality issue, which made people blind and mad, and later when everyone just calmed down and realized that she is actually beautiful. Although, I still heard a few comments about embroidery from the reviewers...
I love the 2011 doll but if they made a similar one people would be even more angry (rightfully- some people have spent like $5,000 for that doll!) and it would be lame. People will complain regardless and I get that but this release compared to all others has been so maddening. These dolls have been getting better every release and they’re doing so amazing with them so it makes me sad to see all of the unnecessary hate :/ it’s totally valid to dislike her but to run around and scream about how she’s trash and uninspired and too different is ridiculous and cruel

She is SO PRETTY. I am in love. The details are absolutely gorgeous, the art on the skirt is stunning and her face and hair are perfect. She’s so so beautiful.
I'm not that much of a Disney dolls enthousiast but I saw this doll in the back of one of your videos and I HAD to look her up because she's simply stunning!
Just saw your video for the first time. She is the first Disney order like they had that I have ever done with the collector disney dolls and was so lucky to have ordered from USA in first two min with no issues and order arrived on time. I have to say she is my favorite Alice ever! I have had Alice dolls since I was a little girl and wanted to share the love with my granddaughters. I absolutely love this Alice’s face! No idea and absolutely 100% no care for the negative comments, reactions etc because I am beyond thrilled with her. I have two and plan to make clothes/ costumes etc for the one that will come out of the box to be cherished and loved .

Congrats! The release was such a disaster, but I am glad that Disney is trying to make it right. The doll itself is SO pretty and I cannot get over how gorgeous the dress is. Easily one of Disney's most unique releases and I will always appreciate anything honoring Mary Blair (my fav Disney concept artist). I wouldn't be mad at all if this became the norm, because Rapunzel was more of a "conceptual" take as well. I just wish it didn't cause so much negativity and toxicity. Some people got a bit *too* angry about this one, but she sold out anyways per usual lol.
I’ve heard that most Disney collector’s/LE releases are a mess, especially online. Glad they’re actually making it right this time, though (Apparently they also have a habit of just shrugging it off and being like, “Oh wellsies.”). If Disney wants to close stores and focus more online, they need to REALLY step up. And I dunno what the big deal is about a more conceptual take. People LOVE when fan artists do it. And the Elena fandom loves seeing concept art for the show and all the different ideas they went through.

I love her and wish they’d rerelease her I wish I’d have tried for her. I love this concept highlighting Mary Blair’s artwork and creating designs based on them. Can’t wait to see more come out!

I got mine also, and she is stunning! Besides her beautiful face, my favorite part is the lovely flower printed skirt. First of all the fabric is really nice quality. Then the Mary Blair flower artwork is just amazing. People were upset that the skirt wasn’t embroidered. Personally I love embroidery. But I feel that there would have been a lot of lost details, if those flowers were embroidered. I love exactly how it was done. I’m glad they didn’t do the usual blue dress with a white apron. This is her down the rabbit hole fantasy dress. And I love it!
She a beauty isn't she. I put her on my *FAV DOLL SHELVES DISPLAY* which is perfectly placed in front of my bed so every morning I woke up I can she her face. ☺ I'm so lucky to have her in my doll collections.
I wish they had a live action movie version with an actress that resembled this with an outfit similar to this. I love the top and skirt and the little shoes. It’s so perfect for all the incarnations I’ve seen of Alice. Best doll design by Disney I think I’ve ever seen.
I missed out on the EU release and got her 2 days after, I'm so grateful to own her. I let her ship to my parents house and my mom had to check on her for me. She's not into dolls at all and she was blown away!! She loves Alice and she said that this doll of her is the most beautiful doll she's ever seen! If a non-collector says something like that it must mean something! I also don't get the hate on this doll, she's beyond beautiful! People are now searching for this doll like crazy, just because they judged too quickly. I left mine in the box, like I do with all my LEs but she's so photogenic even in the box, I love her to pieces!

I don’t understand the hate for these dolls if you don’t like them just keep that to yourself. I personally LOVE them My favorite thing about the doll is the gold butterfly’s for sure.

Best review I have seen of this doll! I don't understand the hate at all - I don't collect Disney dolls at all but I am trying to get hold of this one - The doll and box are stunning.
I don’t know why but she Looks like snow white in a wig a blonde one But other than that I love her design it’s really nice and pretty and works for her because the movie is kind of topsy-turvy and the south is a bit topsy-turvy which I think works for her it’s very elegant will still am representing the film very well
Wait... People were being stupidly negative? She's GORGEOUS!! I especially love the golden butterflies (butterflies are one of my favourite things!) and all of the flowers on her skirt. Everything on her comes together so well and it's a great mix of cute and elegant! And LOL at your cat. If he sits, he fits. Classic cat. XD
So many people are throwing a for saying they think the printed flowers on her skirt look cheap, and would look much better if it was all embroidered. If this was an outfit meant for a person, embroidery might work, but on a doll scale, that's going to look super heavy and cluttered. Also, it would be much harder to match Mary Blair's artwork of it was embroidery. Overall, I think she's a gorgeous piece and the doll community really needs to stop being so negative

Who ever photographs the one stock phothos needs to leave because they never capture the doll right making them look bad vs in person. When I first saw her I was disappointed in her design but as I saw more photos of her it grew to me and it’s not like it mattered since she was going to stay in her box anyways.
The limited edition doll hate has gotten so bad that I've had to unfollow so many accounts for the disgusting hate they have been spewing. I'll admit, at first, I wasn't sold on this doll and kind of thought the skirt was too busy and ugly. However, it was one of those things that ended up really growing on me, and when I looked at the concept art by Mary Blair, I immediately changed my mind on her. She's so adorable, whimsical, and just has such a detailed design. What I'm loving about the recent LE releases is the amount of tiny details. They aren't over the top glamor as past releases, and really have a simplistic detail that you have to see in person to admire. It's sad seeing such an experimental design get so much hate and now we may not get more dolls following this idea in the future because of all the negativity she's had
Honestly I feel like most of the issue is coming from whoever is taking photos of these dolls lol. The initial photos really did not do it justice. Congrats btw!
