I still wonder why alot of people complain that her dmg is bad when she released. Like she a Phalanx, not a Core and her talents are literally for tanking.
@@Mutualititve It was mostly because she spent a lot of time standing around not really doing anything. We've got plenty of options for ranged bait ops and before her module, Lin's SP gen wasn't anywhere near as crazy as it is with module currently. Now she gets the best of both worlds being the tankiest ranged operator in the game + good uptime AoE DPS so long as you're using her as intended.
@@Mutualititvecus meta slaves only care about funny numbers and anything that doesnt compete with the best of the class is not good enough and therefor you're an idiot for investing into them. As a aoe caster enthusiast, Lin is another one for my collection.

I remember the mixed feelings of when Lin first came out on CN and looking at her kit. On one hand, I liked the character, her kit, and phalanx casters On the other, everything I was hoping to see in a Phalanx module was suddenly Lin exclusive and my dear Carnelian would remain an unfortunate operator.
I don't know, I use Carnelian to destroy really hard stationary targets, or a tank rush of high HP/DEF enemies. She's still useful if you know where to place her.
@eveakane6563 I agree Carnelian still accomplishes her role. I just hoped that sp on hit would've been a module trait for all of the phalanx casters. Instead they all got to be tankier, with Lin benefitting the most.
Friendly reminder that, just like with Carnelian, Lin have huge synergies with Aak specially after module With her module, Aak can shoot Lin and not only give her the buffs, but also abuse the SP talent to charge Lin by up to 30sp if lucky enough This is pretty huge considering Lin's S3 cost 50sp, but with Aak technically you'll only need to wait 35 secs (Aak's S3 cool down) to instantly activate her S3 + even more crazy damage thanks to the aspd But also also you can reduce the cooldown thanks to Ptilopsis, which reduces Aak's S3 to almost 20sp, so yes, you'll only 20 seconds to go crazy with Lin And if you ask, when both are buffed by aak, Carnelian still wins by having higher Burst DPS, but with Lin you'll get faster skill cycling, aka more damage than with Carnelian (cries in Carnelian's mod sucks) Anyway, thanks yii for the vid, we love you and your kyaaa
I mean I wouldn't really say Carnelian's mod sucks because it still makes her tankier which is one of the main reasons you would use a phalanx caster rather than an AOE Caster anyway, it's more of a situation of "Carnelian's talents and skills are just worse than Lin". Maybe if the module improved her SP charging talent instead of the health regen, it would make her better but as of now, Lin is just better full stop.

People are very hyped because Lin is finally playable. I was hyped because we might get Phalanx module, I was wrong. It did come but in a much later event.
7:24 I mean its not entirely a bad thing to have her S2 M3. If she gets a second module that buffs her Talent 1 in the future, her S2 will likely be a lot more valuable.
more invincible operators for me (really on top of the other phalanx casters, mountain (beehunter if im feeling lucky), and the dollkeepers i already use, i think i might struggle to use lin, realistically they just take somebody elses spot on my normal teams; kinda un42&8)
I blew everything I've had on Reed Alter, which wasn't much to begin with, got her 4 hours before the event ended. Knowing that Kirin X Yato comes soon I really can't afford to spend any more gems, and I really simp for her since I first saw her in the Dossoles (wasn't far enough in the Main Theme at the time) rerun. Then I saw her kit months ago. Now I'm sad that I have to skip her and can only pray to the deity of Compassion for Waifus (that already gifted me yesterday...) to have mercy with me yet again with the freebies... Also, I'm so glad to have you here again. You contribute to the fun I have with Arknights.
U dont miss anything when u skip Lin, the only job that Lin function is a ranged tank, nothing more than that, her dps is mediocre af and no stage in AK need Lin to complete

Even though the Skill 3 is her main use, i'm still interested to invest in the Skill 2, could be useful somewhere in future events/game modes. It's a guar. M6 character for me when i'm ready to build her.
Her surviving the intro (compared to everyone else being ded) and your confused reaction got a genuine laugh out of me. Also weird error at 3:38. If she actually got such a massive atk increase (wiki says it's only +60% at M3) she'd easily be one of the top damage operators despite being more defensive focused than Carnelian, so I'm really curious where you got that number from.
Went to roll 60 for El, got lin on the very next roll with my daily freebie, Phalanx caster is the most slept on class in the game, it's so incredibly useful to have strong enemies not pop in and annihilate your ranged characters instantly. Lin is also getting a module soon that significantly increase Res and Def while skill is active
Never understood why bench Lin. For example: she can enable medicless lanes by tanking plus an op barrier which becomes invincible if combined with high DEF or RES. Not to mention her S1 M3 ATK is similar to Eyja's S3. Actually, Lin S1 can solo defend the left lane from Ending 1 boss of IS3. Crabs stop too often inside her range, and catapults are too slow to get out on time. Or any lane with ranged enemies without Arts or high ATK. I feel that people who believe she is trash simply don't know how to use her, or aren't creative enough, and are used to use operators who clean maps with the press of a button.
Honestly, if I somehow get her, neat. I'd probably only build her for Mumu memes tho honestly. I like the idea of her kit but doesn't fit my general squad rn

Did 300 pulls on the banner to spark dusk got 1 golden glow, 1 Nian, 6 Chongyue and 0 rat lady what are these odds. Still sparked dusk so no rat lady for me.
At 3:38 my eyes popped out of their sockets at +150% Attack, so I immediately went to Aceship to check. Unfortunately, Lin's S1 only gives +60% Attack.
she looks unique but imo Phalanx casters are just kinda wonky to use for my small brain cause you could just F her crystal shield when you place an op after her. I wish she would have taunt to make her more versatile in different strats,
