One of my french companions summarized Penance in a very consise yet accurate way. Penance is an overkill unit. She either steamrolls the stage or does absolutely nothing depending on how well you can maintain her Barrier. It's definitely fun to play around, but saying she powercreeps Mudrock despite the canyon of consistency between the two is indeed a grave mistake.
As a Blemishine enthusiast who originally built her to feed Mudrock Beyblade capabilities, this op is gonna be SO fun to use - IF i can actually freakin pull her

i love her for her design, lore, class, and almost everything. I am planning to down to a route similar to hers; the path of the law. And whether i may end up also in her situation i'd also probably be on my own *penance.*

Mudrock's S2 auto and spammability is enough reason to prefer Mudrock everytime over Penance. But I'm pretty sure with Texas and Yato alt, miss-timing a durational skill will be much more forgiving because i can delete my mistakes right away with those two. I can finally say goodbye to those extra seconds i spent when clearing a stage just because someone's skill ended right before the last enemy enter their range and i need to wait longer for all that lame basic attack to finally kill it.
@@Sutobuto this comment like, 5 months ago, so perhaps there's some changes in the meta. But fortunately what you said never happened to me, so I'm fine with Mudrock S2 and can avoid extra effort to timing a durational skill like Penance S3.
I'd say the deciding factor of Penance vs Mudrock investment is that Mud has her basic functionality at E1 while Penance NEEDS her E2 thorns trait to really get her snowball rolling
Combining Ch'en and Blemi sounds like a hilarious strategy to achieve maximum bonk uptime, much like how it can enable Mudrock to become a fidget spinner, so I'm very much looking forward to -spark- pull for her.

blemishine helps both mudrock & penance.. its not a waste investment! (guard che'n too, always having fun with blemishine+chen+mudrock+penance.. yeah, best defense is the best offence)
You can get very funky with her. Because her kit scales with HP or ATK, you can use horn or nian for either more damage or shield power. Especially nian since get an extra around 600hp + 1800 shields.
Got three penance on the banner... then texas finally came after three offrates lol Mudrock is pretty nice but I never got to try to synergize her with blemi... Now that I got penance, I still can't get to synergize her with blemi I don't have blemi still ... she's one of the couple of 6* i'm missing. :(
Fun fact, if u place Aak and Penance in his range, and use s2 or s3 of aak it charge Penance skill for 15 sp in low costs. So u can just smash with this duo.
a great banner wouldn't you agree? if u manage to pull one of the 6star, you can unlock new playstyle. Either texas or penance both will carry you in one way or another
1 big advantage penance has over mudrock is you can support her a lot more. she benefits more from damage buffs and sp batterys since her s3 can just be spamed to build up her shield mud only relly benefits from constant buffs unles you use her s3 but that can be akward to time because she becomes invulnerable
Would you consider adding cc subtitle to your videos? Some parts are not so clear for example 03:36 - hawk buffing? I assume you already have the script when making the video and it would be useful to display as text not just as audio.
i originally got to mad for getting penance becuase i wanted to get rosmontis on the texalter banner. now that i think and look at the video, she is a pretty tough cookie to deal with, especially for annhilation. i actually got mad for getting her for the dumbest reason ever: because she was a juggurnaught and couldnt be healed by medics but i only recently found out that juggurnaught defenders make up for the unability to heal with their talents
