Hello. Welding machine fan failure. You repurpose the range hood motor. That's a great idea. You reversed the direction of the wind by flipping the motor attachment. You successfully repaired the welding machine fan! You installed four rollers at the bottom of the welder. It is effective in moving the welding machine. This is another great idea! Great fix Lloyd. I’m in the market for a used Lincoln or Miller AC/DC stick welder. My old P&H Chemtron is AC only and can’t weld 7018 rod.

For lubricating the castors, is castor oil best? Good engineering solution.

those are very good little welders, I have one I think I got it in the 80s it just AC but it's never given any trouble, I did change the cables,, my dad got one back in 63 they called them a" buzz box" because it didn't have a fan and after a while of welding, it would shut off for a while to cool down.. where did you get those steel casters?
