It's one thing to read about the Lincoln assassination; it's another to stand two feet away from where President Abraham Lincoln was shot in Ford's Theatre in Washington, D.C. by John Wilkes Booth in 1865. When you visit Ford's Theatre, you are standing where one of the most important events in American history took place. While many people are aware that President Lincoln was shot here, many may not be aware that he was taken across the street to the Petersen House, where he died the next morning. In this video, you will learn the story behind the Lincoln assassination as we visit not only Ford's Theatre, but also the Ford's Theatre Museum (where you can see the actual murder weapon) and the Petersen House.
