While staying in Oberammergau we took a drive over to Linderhof Castle in Ettal. Linderhof Palace is the smallest of 3 castles built by King Ludwig II of Bavaria and the only one he lived long enough to see completed. Even though it was a rainy day and they were in the middle of major restoration work it was still beautiful and worth the trip.
