Linderhof Palace is an easy day trip from Garmisch-Partenkirchen. It is the only large palace King Ludwig II actually lived in. It is always crowded, no photos or videos are allowed inside his spectacular palace (or "Schloss").
King Ludwig II was reputed to be madder than the "Mad Hatter" - but who knows...

Unfortunately, by working hard for my entire life! I know that's not what people want to hear but it's the truth. Then comes the searching and scrimping to find out what and how is the most economical way to accomplish travel. It all depends what's important to you. I recently saw $500 USD round trip fares from Chicago-Beijing on the United site which is dirt cheap when considering the distance flown. There's always a way! Best regards, Sheila

The water spurting out of your head made me laugh out loud! Richard Wagner has influenced many an important person! It's so emotional and passionate! I love it myself :) Ludwig II had exquisite taste...even if he was mad :) I think there was a little too much inbreeding happening among the aristocrats. ;)

I laughed myself when I was editing the video. You can tell that I don't put a lot of time into having Marine Steve video me! Pick a place and let the chips (or water) fall where they may. I got goose bumps when we walked into the cave with that gorgeous music playing. Poor King...
