This is a compilation of (7) different, AWESOME Lindsey Buckingham (live) guitar solos!! These are among my personal faves. This 2nd installment includes: Love Runs Deeper (solo) ~ New York City 2008, Countdown (solo) ~ New York City 1992, *Go Insane (with F.Mac) ~ Landover, MD 1997, Never Going Back Again (solo) ~ Chicago 1992, I'm Know I'm Not Wrong (solo) ~ Milwaukee 2006, I'm So Afraid (with F.Mac) ~ Santa Barbara 1976, and Go Your Own Way (solo) ~ Chicago 1992 ~ my fave song of all-time. (*I had attended the 1997 MD show!!) Check out this living legend in action!! #3 coming soon!!
Please note: I'm staying away from posting anything from any of their officially released dvd's, like The Dance, Live In Boston, Live At The Bass..., etc... due to the whole copyright thing. Sorry, but it's not worth getting a violation or losing my channel over. Also, I LOVE his guitar solos from Frozen Love & Long Distance Winner via the Buckingham Nicks album (my fave album of all-time), but unfortunately, there is no video footage out there to back them up, etc..., so I'm not able to post these.

Years ago at a local bar I was chatting w Brad Delp during a Beatlejuice break --- it was the week the first of those idiot Rolling Stone '100 Greatest Guitarists' or whatever it was came out --- and I said 'Did you see ?? etc etc. And the names Lindsey Buckingham and Tom Scholz aren't on it!!' And Delp replied, 'Brilliant, really brilliant guitarists. Of course you know why. Just too successful for that magazine.'

He is epic, but c'mon, don't say the best frontman ever. Elvis, Freddie Mercury, Elton John. As for guitarists, there were many who could match him; Angus Young, Eric Clapton, Derek Trucks, Joe Bonamassa, Pete Townshend, Ace Frehley, Frank Zappa... Lindsey might be considered one of the best fingerstyle rock guitarists, but even then, the list goes on and on and on...

@@Cam-yp7cn Yes I have. Lindsey is the best, he can make 1 guitar sound like 2, he can play all the instruments not just guitar, as well as arranging and producing the FM music behind the scenes.

I don't understand why Lindsey is like not at the top of the list I'm all time greatest guitarist. It absolutely amazes me that somebody as talented as he is, they have not recognized. Lindsey is one of the best guitarist I have ever heard.

Lindsey to me is a legend, He has given his all in every performance I have ever watched. My son who is 21 now also respects the man as the artist he is. Keep making memories for us Lindsey!!!

Yes, his soloing can be great. But what makes him really great as a musician is something different. In his own words: "I'm not a fan of all those schizoid guitar players... I'm a fan of people who use the instrument in service to the bigger picture". In other words: in service to the band - provided there is one - and to the song. I agree that Lindsey is best in songwriting, arrangement, voicing, very much in integrating his visions and his amazing feats into a song to make it a true great one - and, of course, in performing all that together with his expressive and emotional singing. In fact, LB is at least that much misunderstood as underrated in terms of Rolling Stone rankings.

You never see the so called greats covering Lindsay’s solo’s & that’s because they can’t play them to the same level his playing style is so unique it takes 2/3 ppl to sound as good as he does & even then they never quite replicate his rhythm his finger picking style is unparalleled.

he sure makes that guitar sound good. its very surprising his name doesnt come up when people discuss hendrix, paige, etc. theres no lack of talent on his end, thats for sure.

He picks generally but on the big notes he uses his finger nail flicking down and alternating fingers, certainly a unique playing style. When he first joined Fleetwood Mac it was in the contract that he play a Les Paul guitar and that he play with a pick, you can see early videos playing some of the Bob Welsh songs he is playing the Les Paul with a pick. As time went on they let him play what and how he wanted.

@@bsnf-5 I guess they really wanted him to sound like the guitarists that proceeded him. Maybe they thought it was not a big deal as most guitarist play with a pick.
