@@DaveBarlowGuitar I can see why. I watched you Freebird video and it/you sounds/sound incredible. Also, I see that the M5 takes an expression pedal as well - making the decision harder. There is a guy in Czech Republic that makes reasonably priced expression pedals with a toe switch to turn off the midi signal in it, similar to how a "real" volume/wah pedal works.

it has midi so yes you should be able to.

@@DaveBarlowGuitar Don't suppose you have any tips on how I would set it up? I've played around with changing the ch number in the menu you showed, but I'm not sure how it actually sends the midi to my sampler. Does it send it each time an effect is turned on, or is it linked to a specific effect?

The M5 is in the FX loop of my amp and tuner does not work very well in the FX loop :)

yes, switch the off footswitch on the patch you are on on and m5 remembers, I set up chorus patch on my clean channel but have it switched off as default so if I want to add chorus I just switch the m5 pedal on again. if this confuses you I may do a video on it as many people have asked.

The tuner works great but I like the easy to see visual you get with a proper tuner

@@DaveBarlowGuitar cool I have a tuner pedal but not sure if I want to stick it on lol, in the process of working out what to put on or take off my audio temple pedal board, I have my mercury, remote 1, M5 ( getting the loop kit end of the month and the blue box and my relevant midi cables) empress heavy, but unsure about my tube screamer, rat (clone) and cock blocker noise gate and tuning pedal have two weeks to think it over untill I get the bits I need. Love your channel and look forward to more content,. Maybe at some point I can get down south on my motorbike and catch one of your gigs fingers crossed 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘

no, I only take one guitar, I have never bust a string in the last 4 years at a gig, I always have a new set of strings every gig.

yeah but the M5 is running in the loop and tends to get confused, also I need a tuner thats quick and easy to see for dark stage work.
