Seems like the value you get out of these vs. some of these newer boxes like the Stomp XL is just... shocking. I mean sure the hd500x is older but it has more I/O and honestly the tones sound better out of the box and you can get them for like 1/3 the price of the more modern boxes. Doesn't make any sense lol
Nice demo. I am using the HD 500 for some years now for at-home-practicing and recording demos in my DAW. Ive dialed in a nice Plexi tone and tweaked the Cabs and microphones to get a nice tone. Then routed a reverb, tape delay, booster and the RAT simulation to the footswitch: Thats it. Everything I need to have to be lucky.
Great Demo. Although this has been around for awhile, I just got mine. Maybe the quality of recording or I need new speakers, but some of these patches sounded like shit. Others pretty good. I like the clean and distortion sound I get out of my amp (Blackstar HD 60).. so would only use the board if I were looking for a particular tone in a song or artist. The fact that you can get thousands of patches makes it pretty cool. I'll have fun playing around with this. Can't wait to override some of those factory presets.. haha
Real nice of you telling the route of the signal - for me it would have been even still better if you (also) completed the path by telling name of sound-card and the way out of same (and thus into my ears) But . . thanks for a good demonstration. Best regards Torben, DK
The age of the gear doesn't matter. In the hands of an accomplished player, a '59 Strat and a '65 blackface Twin can make magic. In the hands of a young idiot who thinks Jack White is God, not so much. The skill of the player is what counts.
I’m really tempted to get this , but I know I shouldn’t as I have some decent pedals, so won’t be doing any justice to them and the analog sound is more real and natural to one’s own playing.
Nice demo Roman, I like the way you do your demos, very clean and shows product clearly. Have you played around with MIDI guitar and Roland GR-55? That's what I use, would like to see good demo of that thing -- pretty massive also.
Nice but I thought this one comes with a pedal, where is it? Is this a different model? I wonder the model with the pedal aND what you can do with it...ow... I see this is the PODHD50
Sorry for the stupid question. I never played with a Line 6 pedalboard. My dying Vox 3000X (of what I probably use 2% of it's capabilities...) gives me the chance of changing the presets or create new ones and them naming and placing them in any orther I want, like Bank 1 slot 1 to 4 then Bank 2 slot 1 to 4. Does this pedalboard allows the same?
@@ramiropeserico7434 thanks. Such an iron maidenish sound.. But I believe they usually get that effect playing the same pattern on two guitars in different octave am I right?
Been waiting for good run down as I have one, how did you plug into computer. Be good for recording?? I do like my pedals on a tube amp. Just lucky to get hold of one off these podhd500
shnobel thanks mate. I really want to start using garage band to try some practice playing. Be easy to just use the board and no amp. From Australia really like your videos.
If you need more expensive .for basics there all good..hd 500x great set your patches tammer Les woggle warp then good make more tame playable then awsome😮
