I wouldn't say it's a "Helix" tube amp. It's based on the POD 2.0. But I do agree that this was an underrated and misunderstood amp and it does sound good even today. I don't know that there was a "falling out" with Bogner. It's just that this was a "successful failure" of a concept. I gigged one for about a year and it served me well until the master volume knob solder joints to the board failed on both my head and combo.
Line 6 have the digital preamp thing down. This amp is basically pod2 preamps through tube power section. The helix preamps for the rockerverb, diezel chan4, all the high dsp one might as be the real thing. Ill probably get it this amp head at some point😊
Loved that amp may get another one. The amp got a bad rap it’s just distortion if it sounds good it is good people focus to much on amps sounding like other amp
Thanks 3 channels lol it’s how I set up to record one track and then I do 3 tracks so 3 heads of 9 channels of 3 mics whoa a lot of worth lol thanks glad you enjoyed it! Still love pedal boards though lol
It does sound way better than I remember! Does it have a traditional Bogner plexi sound?can you turn the line6 modeling part off and just run the bogner sound, or is it all together?! Either way, it's really nice! Has that soldano ,EVH stealth metallic sound like a modded jcm800
You can bypass the effects on board by effects return in with a preamp of any choice using the head with the bogner power yeah sounds great I think has many great features
