thank you sir for explaining this set!! I got stuck in spherical and cuboid placement while solving set but now understood it can be anywhere below and not immediately below
Eight persons P, A, Q, B, R, C, S and D are sitting in a row but not necessarily in the same order. Some of them are facing north and some of them are facing south. D is 40 years old and the persons who are sitting to the left of D are younger to D and the personswho are sitting to the right of D are elder to D. It is also known that Note: Facing the same direction means, if one is facing north then the other also faces north and vice-versa. Facing the opposite directions means, if one is facing north then the other faces south and vice-versa. A and S are facing the opposite direction. Two persons are sitting between P and D. The one who is 10 years elder than P sits second to the right of P who sits at one of the ends. Three persons sit between C and B.D faces north. The one who is 54 years old sits second to the left of B. S and C facing the opposite direction. Number of persons sits between B and Q is as same as that of D and R. R faces same direction as the second eldest person. C’s age is five more than the half of D’s age. None of the persons are below 18 years old. The one who is 60 years old sits third to the left of Q. The Sum of ages of Q and R is equal to thrice the age of C and the difference between the ages of R and Q is 15 years. The eldest person is two years elder than the second eldest person. C faces same direction as the eldest person. Not more than two people facing same direction are sitting together. Who is the eldest person in the group? Which of following person sits third to the left of C? What is the sum of ages of third youngest and fourth eldest person in the group? Who sits immediate right of R?
Sir I did this set with Q pink 1 conical, O yellow 2 cylinder, R red 3 Oval, M peach 4 heart, P green 5 spherical, N black 6 cuboid and S brown 7 pyramid and all the conditions matched with this I don't know where I'm lacking. Please guide! Plus your channel is really helpful ❤️
The way I tried to solve it lead to utter chaos. Literally. The way you solved it and the smooth way is something. Really something. Got to learn so much from this question. I was on the verge of leaving entire LR and focus exclusively on DI. But this video gave me some hope as I was at least able to understand it all. Thank you very much sir.
Sir, mind-blowing way of explanation. I have just one doubt that in the question 10th line from the bottom. The question is saying that . R, who has an oval-shaped box lives on the floor which is immediately above M, who does not live on an odd number floor. Here you said that M will not live on an odd number floor, but if I read twice that particular line it's talking about R, just wanna clear. Time is 08:05 Please reply Sir. Thanks
Hi Shivam, just to clarify this doubt I would say that whenever a statement is given after putting comma, it generally tells about the last talked entity. For this case it mentioned M and then after putting a comma it gave M's introduction. I hope this clarifies a bit.
Sir, it's given in the question that "one who has cuboid shaped box lives below P's floor" and u got spherical shape box below P's floor. Is this right? What should I say?
it isn't mentioned that EXACTLY two people are between M & Q, so why did we assume that? As couple videos back, you mentioned in linear arrangement we are not supposed to take that as given. pls clarify my doubt
Got stuck in 1 point of cuboid being below P. I assumed it to be immediately below P leading to fatal time leakage. Got to be more careful going forward!
one mistake is their sir... the shape of Q will be cuboid shape . According to given condition ("The one who has cuboid shape lives below P's floor") and below P there is Q . @Rodha
It was a very helful video sir... Thanks for sharing these Quality edu videos... I have a question, how did you fix the Floor numbers as fixed criteria..... What if we take Names as fixed criteria..... ? How to identify which should be fixed... Pls let us know...
mine answer is different 7 R oval red 6 M heart peach 5 P spherical green 4 N cuboid black 3 S pyramid brown 2 Q cylindrical yellow 1 O conical pink in your answer you havent taken care of the statement where it says cuboid shape is below P's floor but my answer is reflecting that....
Solved it just came here to check the answer all thanks to you sir🙌🙌 I felt this set easy even I started preparing 2 months back. Its only possible because of you and all the hardwork that you put for us in unacademy 🙌♥️
I got a different answer than yours sir, but the conditions, I think they match: 7th floor - S - PYRAMID - BROWN 6th floor - P - CYLINDER/SPHERE - YELLOW 5th floor - Q - CUBOID - GREEN 4th floor - N - SPHERE/CYLINDER - BLACK 3rd floor - R - OVAL - RED 2nd floor - M - HEART - PEACH 1st floor - O - CONE - PINK Please help me with this anybody🙏
Just one mistake there which I also made is that the person with CUBOIDAL SHAPE lives below p, means it can be anywhere below p. Cause it does not have stated that CUBOIDAL shape person lives just or immediate below of p So 4th floor me CUBOIDAL and 5th me spherical ayega coz spherical ko odd number Dena tha
