Saved my life Mario.... I had no clue how to get the line of best fit and every other RU-vidr showed how to see the values in the regression but not how to graph it. Thank you
I've always been intimidated and confused about how to use the TI-84 plus, as my teacher used some sort of virtual machine emulator of one in class, and clicked around really fast to the extent I couldn't even learn how to use it and was completely lost and clueless... Until I found your videos, and I can't thank you enough sir. I owe you one. Thanks!
@@MariosMathTutoring Oh my goodness!! You are a life saver!! Thank you so much! I was having the same issues as well with regression not showing. Thank you so much for helping everything. Greatly appreciate you! Have a blessed day!
Thanks for making this video. I am studying IGCSE, the whole class uses Casio graphic calculators, but those are expensive. I bought a TI 84 because it was less complicated than the Casio one and also, it was less expensive when bought a used one. BTW, I have the older version of the TI 84.
THANK YOU SM!! my teacher didn’t even show us how to do this and he’s making us do a problem like this on our assignment plus i have to take a picture of it.😭🤚🏼
Hate to leaving you hanging but to enable this you have to go to the Catalog (2nd + 0) then press the x^-1 under the Alpha key to jump to the D category. When you get to the D section you want to enter the arrow key downwards till you get to DiagnosticOn (under DiagnosticOff) select DiagnosticOn and enter twice to save it. This will show both r1 and r2.
So my teacher wanted us to use a graphing calculator to find the equation of the line of best fit. Would I just use the y=ax+b equation but plug in the a & b #'s it gave me from the data table on my word problem? Thx sm for the video it was rly helpful!
Sorry I am late, and I am not who you are looking for but it could be that your window is too small. When graphing try pressing the Zoom key and scroll down to zoom fit. That could help if it is just too far off the graph to be seen.
This worked for the first few sets of numbers I had to put in but then suddenly would not work for a question involving numbers in the thousands. Is there something I'm missing?
Jonathan check your mode as well as check your window...for the window you may need to zoom in or out...worst come to worse...take the batteries out for a minute then put them back in that should reset the default settings...hope one of those suggestions will help you!
My TI-84 Plus don't open a window after I select LinReg(ax+b) like yours does at 1:07 and I can't figure out what to do next 😭 Theres no option to store the equation or select the x and y list inputs, so i have no idea how to move forward to get the linear regression
Why is my a value way off? I’m doing a problem and the a value I’m supposed to get is 99.2 and instead I’m getting 863.6. The b value is correct though. Just the a value is messed up
idk why but every time I do this its giving me y=ax+b a=(numbers) b=(numbers) but no R! what should I do?? I've re done it multiple times following the instructions exactly. I have a TI-84 Plus, maybe that's it?
This video will show you how to fix that: Ti 84 Correlation Coefficient Not Showing Up (Simple Fix) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qPiPv0ASw1Y.html
Vanessa, what you will want to do is press the second key and then the catalog key(it’s written above one of the main keys) then scroll down to diagnostic on and select that.
