This video shows how to find the linear regression line using either a TI-83 or 84 calculator. Remember that if you do not see r squared or r, then you need to turn diagnostics on. For more videos visit www.mysecretmat...
Make sure to have your diognastics turned on (press 2nd, 0, then scroll to D for diagnostics, then hit the diagnosticson button and then it will say done.) if you don't turn this on you will not be able to see your correlation coefficient (r) & (r^2) Great video by the way!
It's crazy how easy and clear this video is considering how my professor uses a whole class explaining this and I had absolutely no clue while this only took me 4 minutes. Thank you so much!
I'm in college and I am taking statistics. Sometimes my teacher goes to fast to follow all the steps. I was doing my Homework when I got stuck on this question, so this video helped me a lot. I subscribed ^_^ I like your videos, they will help me a lot this semester.
I can't tell you how grateful I am that you posted a video so simple and perfect! Taking statistics online with no 'one on one' classes is hard enough and this made it just a little easier
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS this video was perfect and you did everything a great math teacher should do! I wish my teacher actually explained stuff instead of giving us a worksheet and telling us to figure out regression by ourselves at home :/
Thank you SOOOO much!! I'm in Pre-calc and I couldn't figure out for the life of me why my calculator wouldn't graph it. I figured it out with your video that I needed to turn on diagnostics!! You're a life-saver!
I literally have my quiz tomorrow and found no any clue anywhere else about this topic and really feeling so relaxed after this video. Thank you so much and this really means a lot. Best explanation🔥
Thank you so much for the helpful walkthrough! After every class session I always look for one of your videos to follow up so that I can better understand the material
I did everything I even turned the diagnostics on but I keep getting something that looks like this : ERR: SYNTAX 1: QUIT 2: GOTO please help Edit: hehe never mind I forgot to put the comma” 😅
Thanks, this was very well explained and a huge help! :) I can now relax about my assessed investigation tomorrow! I always struggle with graphics calc stuff
Great - I'm a maths teacher preparing for this lesson. Stat diagnostics on was precisely my problem. Note the short cut is that Stat diagnostics can be turned on via mode button (hen 2nd page)
thank you so much! I had looked up other directions and they were just confusing me. I had homework due the next day at they end of the year for the last day of math and I had no idea how to do this. THANK YOU SO MUCH! I gave your video a like.
Have you seen the new HP Prime color graphing calculator that is coming out later this year? You can find it on RU-vid. It looks like TI & Casio have some major competition against their TI Nspire CX CAS & Casio CP400.
I was just about to ask the same thing but your the man!!! How do I get the line to show up on the graph though? I have the data points but the regression line doesn't show up
I enter the information like you said to do and I get the the part where I have the LingReg (ax+b) L1L2 so on and so forth and I keep getting and Err: Syntax 1:Quit 2:Goto. I don't get anything else.
And the joke is on me. Prepared for my lesson and knew exactly what to do with both the TI84 and the Casio only to find the two students with TIs had an 83 and an old OS on an 84. I needed an urgent rush to the internet during the break to rediscover your way or turning Stats Diagnostics on.
very helpful video, loved it. just a question though. why does it give a different value for a and b when you input the lists the other way around (L2, L1)? is it due to the independence of the variable?
Thanks for the video, but when i press the LinReg(ax+b) button, I get the a and b values, but not the regression values. did I do something wrong? are my settings messed up? I did it on a TI-84 Plus Silver Edition, does that make a difference?
