Your very welcome, I have a question, I like to know how you prepare and cook your fish for eating, My father first gutted the whole fish, took out the guts, than he took off the scales of the fish, with a knife, than breaded the fish with flour and seasoning, than fried the whole fish head and all in a pan. How do people in California prepare and cook their fish, or you Pete prepare and cook your fish???? @@ItGetsReelFishing

@jamesbumbry4066 what I like to do is cut behind the gill plate down to the spin then cut along the spine to the tail then separate the skin from the fillet so no gutting or scaling needed. Then batter up and fry them.

I saw that in all the fishing videos, its like people where just cutting out the meat of the fish and throwing away all the other parts of the fish. My father was from the old school, born in the early 1900's and he learned from his father from the 1800's. I guess if i go fishing, I'll try it like my father, cause as a kid I was taught to eat the whole fish being careful to not eat or swallow the bones, to separate the meat from the bones with your hands or sometime in your mouth, not wasting any part of the fish, skin and all, even break open and eat the inner parts of the fish head, eye balls, brain, flesh part of the gills, and even the fried fin tail was delicious. I guess all people have their own way of preparing, cooking, and eating fresh fish they catch. All N All the experience looks like fun. @jamesbumbry4066 fried fish fins are delicious yeah I guess overtime most folks have gotten away from eating the whole fish. For me it just saves time and I get boneless fillets so I can enjoy the fish without worrying about choking on fish bone. Fishing is absolutely my favorite thing to do so much peace is brought through being on the water.
