yes they were wearing full face helmets and all this other armor because its downhill mountain biking its a lot harder and a lot more dangerous then cross country mountain biking which is what you were doing the bikes are completely different as well

So one time I was skiing with all these professionals around me, but there was one part were there must've been bit of stone sticking out, so I tripped over it and did a cartwheel into the air(there was a small drop below it) and SOMEHOW landed on my feet. THen all the people around me thought it was for real and were cheering me on and stuff and congratulating me

As a kid you don’t really realize it, but now I see they are a couple of good talkers lol. Link somehow told the story incredibly engagingly and Rhett’s additions with it made it just a real nice ten minutes. I guess they’re getting their fill of storytelling on the podcast now

I was riding up a hill on my dirt bike, about 10 feet from the top I remembered the berm that riders the previous day had made about 40 feet from the top of the hill and I made a huge rookie mistake, I let off the throttle. (been riding/racing for 12 years) So By the time I reach the top im going roughly 45 mph launch the bike maybe 6 feet in the air in a massive endo (front end very low). As im about to level out my front wheel slams into the very obstacle I was worried about, so at roughly 45-50 mph I endoed my dirt bike, I had to have went head over heals 7 times maybe 8 and was about 50-60 feet from where my bike stopped cartwheeling. Worst crash Ive ever had, fractured some vertibrae and some bruising of organs but I lived, I truely believe if I was not wearing my neck brace I would be alive as my initial hit with the great was all on my head.

I was riding my bike off a ramp made of sand but the sand was too soft and I had fallen and the handle bar break went into my leg and I laid in my driveway for an hour before I had gotten into an ambulance. I was transported from my house to the hospital with the handles bars (bike frame was removed before I was put into the ambulance) still in me. I was in the hospital for a few hours and all the nurses/doctors , who didn't even operate on me came to visit. I was told this was an one in a billion chance of this happening. I ended up getting 8 stitches and a huge scar. I was 11 at the time and 15 now.

STORY TIME. My brother, who is now eighteen and in college, and I used to hang out around our neighborhood every summer day around the time he was twelve and I was ten. Back then, our neighborhood didn't have a lot of houses built, like it does now. There were a lot of house layouts, though, and a lot of tall dirt hills scattered around. He was at the age where he wanted to skateboard and dirt bike and show off. He decided it would be an awesome and brilliant idea to dig a giant hole/indent into the side of a huge dirt hill. He thought he would dip the bike into the indent and then swoosh down and out. He had my mom bring the video camera and tape him. I watched from the side. Instead of doing what he'd thought he could do, his bike fell straight forward and the bike seat jabbed him right in the nuts. It was seriously the funniest thing I've ever seen... He's still a little shit, but I love him. :) Xx

My worst sports fail was when I was running to second base and as I was running this girl had her mouth open and we collided. When we collided her tooth got pulled out and got stuck in the middle of my forehead.

I recently crashed my mountain bike. I broke my right wrist, severely bruised the right side of my pelvis and the upper part of my right femur. And to top it all off, a bit of road rash. I was in crutches for two weeks and my wrist is still in a cast. I can't wait to get back on the trails.

I grew up in BC, downhill heaven, loved every min of it, Been doing these since i could walk, i am 16 now so 2 years ago i was on a black diomand trail and there was a jump which you had to gap a creek and then the trail narrowed down the end. I ended up making the jump, but there was 2 trees in between the trail and i like wide 777 spank handleabars and i got fucking thrown to mars and smacked my face in the dirt

No offence guys but I downhill bike and that hill was not a whole lot... If you want the proper "all you can ride experience" then head over to whistler or sun peaks BC, Canada. Ill be there. Oh and rent armor, I wear the neck brace and all. :)

Hahaha this was so funny! The scary guys with all the gear are called 'downhillers' they got bikes made to go fast and hit huge jumps, the neck brace is so you don't snap your neck, not for your head not to fall off!xD The neck braces only work with full face helmets. Anyway, happy riding!=)

Haha im a dirtjumper and made the mistake of take my dirtjumper along with my friends to a moutian haha it was super sketchy! But fun too haha, you have a pinkbike acount too? Lol
