Linkin Park 2025 Reunion?! 

Chester aside, not having Joe would be a huge deal. He plays a bigger role in the band than most people realize.

As a fan for the last 2 and a half decades, I can guarantee you this is no longer about “honoring Chester’s legacy.” This is about moving on, and starting a clean slate with their career that was put on hold due to Chester’s passing. That’s how I see it.

It’ll be interesting if it’s Adam Gontier (from Three Days Grace). There’s videos of him playing some of LP songs live, and he can hit Chester’s vocal ranges pretty close.

A frontwoman felt like the only way to move forward for me since day 1 , today there are lot of women capable of screaming like chester did and they'ld fit well with his range and tone while bringing something totally different at the same time.

Fans are too entitled these days, Chester wasn't the only one behind the music and lyrics and just because some members of the band are old family men that don't feel like going on a tour at this point in their lives doesn't mean they somehow aren't getting along or it's a big deal whether they do any of the dates or not

It'll definitely be interesting to see who they officially get, but all the best to LP and here's to what comes next for them

Chester will never be forgotten. Linkin Park was a great band. And I'd love to see the band move forward. I think it could even be possible to play videos of Chester performing some songs too.

I totally agree. I think the rock music community should be supportive of Linkin Park reuniting again and moving forward. A female singer can add so much new layers to the band's soundscape. Fingers crossed they pick Bonnie Fraser of Stand Atlantic.

To everyone saying "They won't be the same, no one sounds like Chester": That's okay! I'm sure the band had accepted that, and moved forward, before the thought even entered your head. Different doesn't always mean bad. But do you all HONESTLY think Chester would want them all to stop making music just because he passed? No. He would want them to keep doing whatever would make his friends happy!

Even if it was just one final tour to give the fans what they want and to honor Chester I will take that and do everything in my power to go see them.

You know who I think would be a good fit? Courtney LaPlante from SpiritBox. She has the vocal range to pull it off.

Thanks to Mike shinoda still being around a reunion might be possible. But without chester Bennington it just won't be the same. I wish he was still with us.

Lead singer of Spiritbox would be an option. Not that i want Spiritbox to split, I love that band. But, some musicians are members of more than one band.

I feel like none of the people talking shit are musicians at all. Think about it. Imagine dedicating your life to music and your fans. Do want your impact and your music to die with you?? FUCK NO you don't. You want it to continue touching lives for as long as possible. If that means someone else singing or performing your songs then so be it.

Not suprising, especially seeing how $uccessful the Pantera tribute tours have been, and even the reception that Creed has received. Mike knows that there is plenty of money on the table, and it would be nice for the fans as well.

Spencer Sotelo would be a hell of a choice. He can switch from pop style to harsher vocals excellently. Not a girl, but he can kinda sound like one. 👀

I've loved Linkin Park since the beginning. They were my most listened to artist on RU-vid Music last year, I bought Papercuts on vinyl. If they other guys want to reunite and create new material, that's their choice. Chester was a huge contributor to the band. No one will deny that. We all miss Chester. At the same time, the other guys shouldn't have to end their careers because of his passing. They mentioned William Duvall succeeding Layne Staley. When The Rev passed, Avenged Sevenfold struggled, but now have Brooks Wackerman on drums. ACDC has Brian Johnson because Bon Scott passed away. The list goes on. As for the rumors of a female vocalist, I have 2 trains of thought. Either they want a female to succeed Chester because the comparison won't be as harsh. If they do have a guy come in, a lot of people will say, "Oh well, he doesn't sound like Chester." The haters are more likely to attack the band as a whole since they won't sound the same, instead of the individual. I'm sure she'd still catch static online, but hopefully, it would be displaced a bit since the expectation to sound like Chester isn't there. My other thought is that the rumor is a red herring. They're tryinf to stir the pot, but not out a new male vocalist. Before this, most notably, people thought maybe Deryck Whibley would go to Linkin Park, especially with Sum 41 disbanding. He is a close friend of the band and has sang Chester's parts a few times live at different performances. Adam Gontier apparently has some recordings singing Linkin Park. So it's hard to say what will happen. Time will tell.

I would go to see them, but I think only of they are all back not just 3😢

I think LP are looking for female vocalist because they don't want her to be compared to Chester. With all due respect to Amy Lee, there is no way she will be suitable for LP since she doesn't do scream vocals. I really hope that LP will stick to their old style, otherwise why would they even be called LP?

Static X managed to make it work. And arguably Eddie is better in SS. Pantera made it work without vinnie and Darrell. Slipknot kinda nade it work. Dont immediately knock it. Let the legend live on.

there's no replacing chester, that's just impossible.. his female alter could potentially be christina aguilera in a way - her range is insane.. female singer is not a bad idea but as much as i love amy's voice, not sure how it'd mesh with lp's style.. but i could defo see taylor momsen - her raspy voice would fit imho, not sure about the heights tho🤔

Won't be the same at all without Mr Hahn, or Rob of course, but totally understand everyone in the band's perspectives and am optimistic nonetheless ❤🤘

I heard and saw a lot of people whine about the and lately without Chester in the past and that was hellah disrespectful and it's the same people now probably.

Anybody ever come to think that maybe… JUST MAYBE… that if there is some kind of “reunion” going on, it’s simply a new project with some of the old Linkin Park line-up?… they’re all friends (I’d hope), so perhaps they just wanna make music again but do something new, maybe even NOT under the Linkin Park name??? LP’s songs need to be performed live and the fans need to experience it. I’m not sure what that looks like whether it’s a new singer or a rotation of singers, or an audio track of Chester’s voice over live music and a video wall with clips of Chester.

F Mike Shinoda, he didn't give a damn about Chester imo, he cared about Chester being the cash cow and Shinoda got to do some singing which the label wanted "only" Chester to do the singing and Chester was only in the band for a year and Chester told the label that no way he would agree with that, he would leave first because he was there only a year and Mike started the band. CHESTER was Linkin Park. HE made it the success it was and he could have well done it with another band. Before Chester Mike had a band called Fort Minor I believe and they were going nowhere until Chester. I "always" believed Mike was very jealous of Chester, he wanted to be Chester, the frontman, the talent and most of all the adoration for Chester the fans had for him which was undeniable. I will NEVER listen to that non-stricken grief from Mike, I saw NONE. (All he was thinking about was himself and "his" career). I'll NEVER watch anything Shinoda does. Linkin Park was rightfully over when Chester died and out of respect to Chester, there should never be a band called Linkin Park again.

Maybe it's better to form a new band with a new name.

I think most would be ok for LP to continue on with a new singer but not a replacement for Chester. More of a tribute to Chester but allow the band to make new music.

Just hope all the (potential ex-)members are fine.

As a huge LP fan, this feels... weird. I mean, I am so divided on this news. Chester was the one that saved me from depression, and his voice, even hearing it today just sends chills down my spine and tear up. I started hearing LP's music after Chester's news came and one of my friends recommend their music to me. He was distraught by that news, and told me to give LP a listen. Been a fan ever since, and LP'S music hass been an integal part of my ever since. Through my ups and downs, through my battles of depression, and through me trying to give it all away. Chester saved me. He did. But this news - it just does not feel right to me at all. Not at all.

Please don't look for a woman for the the sake of having a woman! Recruit someone with needed talent and chemistry. Precision pitched harsh vocals, high register and beautiful cleans are def requirements imo, just like with Chester

I’m not a fan of the band but I did respect Chester’s vocals & lyrical writing! You can throw LP on tour all you want, but it’s never going to be the same again! Chester was LP! It was his lyrics that brought people in & his vocal style! You can put anyone you want up there & it’s not going to have the same feel that the band did with Chester! It’s basically going to be a cover band with a different singer!

If this is going to happen why isn't Mike addressing the news? If it happens I will be happy for LP they deserve to move forward. I am trying to be open but we will see , huge huge Chester fan and it won;t be the same just hoping the direction and vocalist are as good as I know it can be.
