Wow, I went to Mike's show in Boston a couple weeks ago, and nearly caught a drumstick, and a... Fiji bottle. LOL. I did manage to catch some Fiji water that he sprayed into the crowd though XD
Their first album has to be 25 years old for them to be eligible to be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame so when the time comes let's hope it fucking happens

It is cool to see them this early in their career. Chester was a little pitchy. But still sounds amazing. Not every vocalist can still sound amazing when they are pitchy. Chester is such a legend. RIP Chester. You are missed.
Oh my God I remember watching this when It came out, I was probably about 12 years old! Honestly this is my favorite live performance of theirs that they've ever done!
Bok Choy I was 17 when this came and watched it and loved it!!! I also agree , this is one of my favorite live performances of theirs they ever done! !
I grew up to LP. I am in my late thirties now. When I was going through heartaches, I didn't listen to slow jams, I rocked out to LP songs. They helped me get through tough times. RIP Chester
I come back to watch the 2001 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame videos quite often. Of all the LP concerts I have seen, this, IMO, is the best performance from the band. You can feel the energy through the screen. If you were there, you were lucky!
Mark Smith I was extremely lucky to have been there. One thing people don't probably know is that this show didn't start until around 2:30 in the morning. When MTV was taping these shows they would shoot two shows an evening. Alisha Keys was first that evening. Once that crowd left they had to reset the Rock Hall for the next show taping. There's a couple sounds that the band played that didn't make the final cut of what was aired on MTV. The show ended up wrapping between 3:30 and 4:00 that morning. I got about an hour or so worth of sleep before having to get up for work. I was so wrecked that day but it was so worth it. Very fortunate to have been able to attend this show.
Yea man...in light of what has happened...you get to remember one of their best concerts. Hope you were able to take some of your own pictures / video of that night. As much as this all effects me, I can't begin to imagine what it's doing to the rest of his family and the band.
Very vivid memories of when this aired. Blew me away. Saw LP essentially "open" the main stage at Ozzfest 2001. Took some time but they won the crowd by the end of set.
I remember having recorded this on a VHS tape back in middle school. I used to watch it all the time. Such a shame about Chester. He was such a talented musician.
20+ yrs later I still get chills listening to Lp. I def miss the feeling i use to get watchin Lp perform though. Another reminder on how fast time passes us by & to cherish every moment in life.
Perfeito. Amor eterno por essa banda; e por todos os sentimentos felizes que me fizeram sentir... fez parte da minha infância e, acompanhou minha adolescência. 🧡

I recorded this on VHS at my uncle's house because I didn't have cable and I copy their outfits. I dress like them the rest of my high school years. I still can't believe Chester is gono :(
4:52 Chester is trying to show Mike that he's feeling what Mike is laying down (most hypemen in hiphop do this), but Mike is uncomfortable with the entire thing (rapidly moving away and downwards from Chester). Chester immediately understands the situation, backs off in like 6 seconds and doesn't attempt to do this with Mike ever again. Instead, Chester asks for permission to get close, like in 2015 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cWW-lu6Z-eM.html (notice Chester motioning like "you okay with this?"). This is probably the most attractive I've ever seen a metal singing rockstar be in my lifetime......I'm 30.
3:35 epic rap going hard so hard!! Deserved a rock and roll hall of fame 💘 RIP Chester Bennington! There will never be another one like you 💙💛💚💜💗 you saved my life 💞
I remember watching this on MTV (or was it MTV2? Don't quite remember ATM) back when it originally aired when I was a teenager and early 20s. Oh, the nostalgia......
