Sebs Duran Man please react to chester and Chris Cornell singing Crawling together live! It is really emotional when you know what happens to both of them
Bro Chester is one singer that can perform sing like Angel scream like a Devil Sadly none us fan catch him. Most of his song all about depression that he help the fans to pull through their difficult times. Chester miss you dearly
The song was actually written about a woman who worked at their label, who died from breast cancer. Mike and Brad wrote it with a guy named Eg White. It was sung in tribute to Chris here, then fans used it in tribute to Chester. Then the official video for it was a tribute to him. And then, the most heartbreaking part, the band played it without Chester at the Hollywood Bowl, with Mike singing it, sounding like he was barely holding it together.
Also at a festival in 2018 where Mike Shinoda send an emotional message to the crowd about awareness of depressions and then performed a bit of In The End with the crowd
My daughter went to middle school with Chester’s oldest son. That man was always at the school functions!! Super nice super giving. Cool as cool can get as well. He always had his shades on even in the auditorium.
Depression blows beyond belief I have been dealing with it for YEARS and nothing helps, people also say "you aren't alone" and that doesnt help either and it just sucks...I wouldnt wish it on my worst enemy.
@@jxstified7558 I just felt apathy since age of 17-19, the only time something actually felt.. Idk like real emotions? was when I was drinking. I have never struggeled in life whatsoever which makes me confused
That scream was absolutely heartbreaking. I can't hear it without losing it either. He was screaming for his lost friend and we scream inside when we hear it for losing Chester.
I watched this live and it's soul crushing. Chris Cornell's death haunts me to this day😢. He and Chester were close. Chester's passing on Chris's birthday was /still is, a horrible tragedy
Wow. I had chills. Ugly crying. Such a huge loss for the world. He was so talented. His voice so beautiful and pure. I’ve listened to him for years leading up to his death and still get emotional listening to them; then and now. Thanks for the soul-cleansing cry. ❤
People threw alota shade because apparently his "vocals wernt on point" u can tell the man is litrally holding back tears... And his mate just passed. Alota performers would just cancel their gig. So fkn props to them. R.I.P Chester & Chris 🤘🏻🙏🏻
This scream wasn't scripted. It's not part of the normal song, and it shows his broken heart more than a thousand words could say. I have the studio version on my player and often can't sing it completely without starting to loose my voice and start crying. It has so much power and emotion😢😭😭😭
Mike is an amazing band leader. So in tune with everybody on stage. Chester was an amazing front man/lead vocalist but Mike was the driving force behind him.
I miss that dude so much. He started me on the rock path. It was seriously like one of my first moments I thought everything is fucked and I hate life at 27. But I realized the best can fall and we are all human. Find your light and live as best you can. Fight for the next generation. Fuck it. You matter.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the video. I stumbled upon your channel and was moved by your reaction to the song. Your raw emotions and genuine connection with the heartache conveyed in the lyrics are truly commendable. We all experience moments of sadness and struggle to find our place in life. The way you described Chesters' primal scream as a release of emotions is truly remarkable. The best comment I heard regarding this performance and his scream is " that scream was probably the easiest part of the song for him to sing." It's amazing how such a powerful expression of pain can liberate someone and allow them to connect with their feelings. I can understand why you find this song so emotional, as it truly touches the heart.
I know you just listened to the live version, but take a moment of your free time and just sit back and watch the music video for this song. It really made me tear up.
They didn't really get a lot of flack for this song, it's generally agreed to be a gem on an album of overproduced top 40 pop, it was the album they got flack for, for those mentioned reasons.
I love your honest vulnerability listening to music and sharing how it affects you. If you haven't already heard the song "Crawling" and the official video it's pretty deep as well. Along with that there is an acoustical version live in concert where he shares a moment in the crowd singing this same song pretty fantastic. This dude was the real deal. He has helped so many who struggle with the same feelings through his music. I'm just so sad that he reached a point he just couldn't take it anymore and chose to end it. Such a talented tortured soul who leaves an unbelievable legacy to be shared and discovered for decades to come
Linkin Park performed "Crawling" with Chris Cornell. Highly recommend you check it out. He doesn't come in until about half way through but it's still great
Yes there are 2 but the one that is powerful I think is the one you are talking about! I was sexually abused and you can see it in both of them, they are singing about that pain. Mine was from 3-12 and I’ve attempted when I was 12 but struggle still. Gonna get the link.
For me, this song is about my and my brother. Reflect all my feelings few years ago, when he decided to take his own life. I think this is a healing song, if anyone lost someone.
The night before they were on Jimmy Kimmel, is when Chris took his life...if my research was correct. There is an interview where Mike said they found out on this day so they changed the song choice to honor Chris. Check out that interview. Mike explains that this was extremely difficult for Chester. As we all know, 2 months later Chester gained his wings on what was Chris's birthday. Chester had originally written this song for a woman he knew that died from cancer, but obviously it resonates here as well. I've never seen a more still crowd at a LP performance/ concert. RIP Chester & Chris #TheirLegacy #MakeChesterProud #LoudLoveChris #NoOneSingsLikeYouAnymore
The scream broo… the scream just sounds so different… its, idk you can clearly hear that he was broken. Not the broken he used to be, not the pain he felt all the time… the scream feels like, like a man knowing, there is nothing left.
@sebsdurant that scream your correct said so much and had so much anger and sadness and all different types of emotions behind it. You can't help but tear up. Especially knowing the ultimate outcome of chester and his battle
Okay so yesterday was the 6th year anniversary of his passing and I couldn’t keep it together. Hopefully I am capable of listening to this and not completely break down. God I miss this precious beautiful man. Who cares if one more light goes out? Well, I do. I really do Chester. An amazing person with a beautiful soul gone way too soon. He saved me from my light going out. Forever 41.
That scream in the original song is really low in the background, you miss it if you're not paying attention. The fact that he brought it up to the forefront of the song makes it even more heartbreaking when you've heard the original. You should check it out on your own sometime. It was one of my favorite songs before this performance and before Chester died. I almost can't listen to it now, it hurts so much. *Side note-you should also react to C Mike Shinoda, One More Light (live at London Roundhouse) Its the first time Linkin Park played it live after Chester's passing. I love how real you are in your reactions, and how you're not afraid to show emotion! Your channel is quickly becoming one of my favorites! I love to watch your wife too, she's so beautiful!!
Chester and Chris deaths were heartbreaking. Also check out Corey Taylors performance of Snuff in memory of Paul Grey the original bassist in Slipknot who died of an overdose. He also lost Joey Jordison the drummer in Slipknot #1. Joey had a very serious disease and passed at the age of 46. Another video of a broken man missing a friend. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-r6VftcpePOg.htmlsi=yR5eehkWPkTmyLLC
Pretty sure linkin park never wrote this song. Think a sick young girl did. And she gave it to them to play. Just to ad to the powerful meaning of this song. Full of greatness by all involved. ☝️🫶
I don’t believe Chester was vocally trained if you listened to his old work with Grey days you can tell he took a heavy inspiration from Nirvana and Pearl Jam
I love how you respect Chester's memory, he went to Greenway High School, right down the street from where I live, this song will always be instilled in mind
I was one of thode LP fans that dropped off after Meteora because i thought they were going too poppy. Having only been in Jr High my understanding of growth in music wasnt there yet. After seeing the emotion this song brought (i cried myself) I had to go back and listen to everything over again and boy was I an ignorant child. Chester got me through so many ROUGH times in that oart of my life and then I abondoned them when they had everything i was feeling from album to album.
This song hits home I love Chester’s voice this song gives me chills i lost a 2 friends one was a girl so sweet and the other one a boy being a crush to suicide all because I chose to be in a abusive relationship and forgot about them because my HS ex was lethal and scary I was the only real friend both had and I blamed myself for so long because of there deaths 1 month apart one killed themselves by taking a bunch of pills and then drowning in a tub and the other hung himself well shooting himself in the head my last conversations with them each haunts me still 8yrs later yes I’m in a way better headspace then back then but there’s moments I have when I catch myself just super sad crying out of nowhere missing everyone who left me to go to heaven so this song is something ❤
The song was NOT written specifically for Chris since Chris passed on may 18th 2017 and the album was released 1 day later on the 19th, so the was written and recorded before that, however it was DEDICATED to him once he passed.
