I still remember being a kid and finally being allowed to buy my own music. Bought this cd, popped it into my discman, and I realized as soon as this song started it was exactly what I wanted/needed at that time.
I’m actually a fan of Minutes to Midnight. Hated it at first but it’s grown on me! Then Meteora, then Hybrid Theory. But Hybrid Theory is no doubt a great album
This song gives us a bit of everything. Chester's vocals, Mike's rapping, Joe's turntables, Dave's Bass, Rob's drums, and Brad's bass. Definitely an amazing introduction to an incredible band.

Papercut is one of my all time favourite songs. It’s so nostalgic for me because it was one of the songs that kept me sane when I had depression as a teen.
From the bridge to the ending this is by far LP's best song. The overlap harmonizing vocals, and then Chester singing over Mike's rapping is absolute perfection.
About papercut...this is the first video i saw from LP wen i was a pop music listener.. change my whole word since then i became a rock music fan...i think this symbolises the birth of the Dragon soldier of LP dragon fly and a mans face coming out in that dark space...its really a birth of a super band..miss Chester

This is the most Linkin Park song ever. Man, it is so good. First song off of the first album and it still stands the test of time. And, the live performances... they performed this song for nearly two decades and it just kept getting better.
I remember when the hybrid theory album was at number two on the billboard, 200 albums chart back in 2000. That is soooo great that new fans Love LINKIN PARK and love their music today. I’m one of them.😅😅

Ya papercut might be my favourite. I got to see Linkin Park in Toronto with Limp Bizkit and Metallica. By far my most favourite concert I've been to. Linkin, and Limp....was soooooo good at that time. Chester gave me goose bumps EVERY song.
You know every time you talk about how great their voice is together, it makes me happy. But then it always takes a few seconds to remember that they'll never make new music together with that 20 year chemistry they had. Man. I miss Chester:/
For about 14 years I never heard the synth in the verses, even after hearing the instrumental. I like to think that everyone sings along with the choruses.
