The timestamps in the video appear to be way off so here are the actual timestamps: 00:00 Keys To The Kingdom 03:26 All For Nothing Feat. Page Hamilton 06:48 Guilty All The Same Feat. Rakim 12:22 The Summoning 13:19 War 15:23 Wastelands 18:27 Until It's Gone 21:52 Rebellion Feat. Daron Malakian 25:40 Mark The Graves 30:11 Drawbar Feat. Tom Morello 33:04 Final Masquerade 36:29 A Line In The Sand 42:42 With You (Live in LA 9.8.12) 46:13 Lost In The Echo (Live in LA 9.8.12) 49:57 Numb (Live in LA 9.8.12) 53:04 Burn It Down (Live in LA 9.8.12)
It seems it was sped up. I knew something was off. Keys to the kingdom lasted 3:26 but the original lasts until 3:38. This trend continues with all. It would seem io based the timestamps off of the original before speeding it up slightly presumably for copyright reasons
its bc technically its closest to those ones but imho after HT a M , they lost the plot and excuses like "we are older and not want to be angry" i never bought it.. they realized they want more money so theyve changed to pop-rock..
Mike Hraje a Recenzuje I think it would be boring to have the same kind of setlist for ten years, at some point you grow tired of listening the same on every album
@@potts7494 i dont think so. but i respect your opinion.. but i think theres missunderstading in common thing.. same GENRE doesnt mean listening to SAME album again and again.. i dont think meteora nad HT are completely same and secondly, i dont think HT album is rigid , neither Meteora. they were already changing styles during thsoe two albums.. simply i dont think that songs like battle symphony , burn it down, shadow of the day (i picked few from different albums..) suits their idea which they set at the beginnings OR even in transition album Minutes to mindnight. i respect the fact that chester mainly wanted to sing more purely, more handsomely and Mike was done rapping after rising tied . he never wanted to rap in linkin park career, he wanted to play guitar and piano, changed his hair to long style, dressed more like punk/rocker. those all are elements when they decided they want more money by hitting bigger spectrum of listeners and mainly girls.. bc girls around 20 25 who arent "rebels" NEVER listen to song like papercut or hit the floor.. those girls love Numb or one more light... so they have changed more and more after MTM and thousand suns was definite burial of one step closer era...for me definitely.. i stopped to listen to them, i respected their decision but they must respect the fact that MAJORITY of the fans DIDNT like tha transition..
Mike Hraje a Recenzuje I also understand where you’re coming from, I’ve had the same thought with other bands, that “they’re selling out”, but I try not to think that way. It’s a pretty common thing for artists to change their styles, sometimes a lot, sometimes just a little. I myself don’t listen to the same stuff I did 10 years ago. Also I never heard that Mike didn’t like to rap anymore, that’s new. I mean, isn’t he still rapping? I thought the label didn’t want him to rap... anyway, yeah I feel like they were experimenting from day one, most their biggest hits had some poppy melodies, In The End too. To me wasn’t a big deal as a fan of metal and alternative rock music, I listen to some pop sometimes too. But I understand when you don’t like some artist’s new sound
at what point did u stop listening? just curious, because i stopped listening to LP after being disappointed with their 3rd and 4th album. the 3rd album was still ok but the 4th album was the biggest disappointment for me at the time. but like u, i have since listened to many types of musics and fusions of many genres. and chester's death made me go back to listening to LP.
I remember when this came out!!! And the album release party... Chester said this is the most hard core heavy album they have made. 'Oh my gosh it is. Such legend!! I never listend to it till it now' I WANT IT!!!!
How dare you! I listened to it the midnight it came out June 14th 2014, it’s always been good, this version is a little faster, I rather listen to this on LP
@@Isaiahisnotonfire I was 15 at the time. I came to appriciate it more later (now) when I was older. I love the heavy side/less pop like side of Linkin Park more now then I did then.
Am I the only one who sees the humor of the opening? Before this they released A Thousand Suns and Living Things, where they transitioned away from the heavy sounds and screams toward something more calm and mature. So then you play this, and immediately you hear Bennington (R.I.P.) screaming at the top of his lungs. "Nope, we're back to this sound, guys." Apparently, the album title refers to a theory about culture becoming too passive, where young men were described as "herbivores" who simply waited for opportunity to come to them. They felt the same about music in that people don't take risks anymore, and this is their way of going against the grain. A bold move, and it turned out so well in my opinion.
Especially Guilty All The Same, which is apparently about how "record companies tried to kill me", me being Linkin Park of course. How they felt restricted by the media and such and because of their rebellion they were being played less and less, etc.
they actually said the opposite multiple times in interviews; that they were under pressure to stay a "Nu-Metal" band and continue to make rough music that was similar to their first album. After this album they made their softest one yet so at this point they were just doing whatever the hell they wanted to, not all artists have access to that kind of freedom though :(
It's 2024 and today is my first time listening to this album. I only semi-liked Linkin Park when I was in high school but then I took my gf to see them live in '03 and really liked them a lot more - primarily because of Chester's screaming. Then after Minutes to Midnight they kind of ditched their metal sound and I pretty much moved on. Now years later I am able to appreciate their range and it's really sad because Chester is no longer with us. However to me there are several albums worth of Linkin Park that still feel new, so thank God for that!
Who tf cares, bands are supposed to develop and f***ing move on from their first Album! Shove it up your whatever if you love it so much but you dudes gotta stop whining!
They were trying so hard and got so far im this album to go back to their roots, but with their last album, in the end, it didn't even matter, and ended up garbage. RIP old Linkin Park forever.
MISS YOU CHESTER, HAPPY BIRTHDAY FOR THE 20TH MARCH 2021, MINE WAS LAST SAT ON THE 7TH MARCH, EXATCT SAME YEAR & MONTH YOU WERE BORN - SAME STAR SIGN, SAME AGE, i WILL NEVER FORGET YOU!!!!!!!!
It pretty much has and always be that a bands first two albums will be best received and typically fan favorites. You can pretty much look at any and e dry artist ever and that holds true. But every album they released after meteora has plenty of good songs on each one. You could pick any a thousand suns, living things, hunting party, one more light, and easily pick off 5 songs you love. Making an album with 10-12 great songs is a hard task
In the wastelands of 2020, When there's nothing left to lose, And and there's nothing more to take, But you force yourself to choose, In the wastelands of today, When tomorrow disappears When the future slips away, And your hope turns into fear, In the wastelands of today
my favorites musics Of this álbum 1. Keys to the kingdom 2. All For Nothing 3. Guilty all The Same 4. Until It's Gone 5. Rebellion 6. A Line In The Sand 7. Final Masquerade 8. Wastelands 9. Mark The Graves 10. War 11. Drawbar 12. The Summoning
I don't think this is really a return to their roots. It has the same ferocity as the first two albums but the electronic and punk influences are there now
my personal review for this album 1. *Keys to the kingdom* 10/8 2. *All for nothing* 10/10 3. *Guilty all the same* 10/8 4. *The Summoning* 10/7 5. *War* 10/7 6. *Wasteland* 10/7 7. *Until it's gone* 10/10 8. *Rebellion* 10/9 9. *Mark the Grave* 10/6 10. *Drawbar* 10/8 11. *Final Masquerade* 10/9 12. *A Line in the Sand* 10/10 I think this is the most underrated Linkin Park album and it's heavier than Hybrid Theory and Meteora.
*How blessedwe are to have a band who offers such eclectic flavors!* Soooooo many gave them too much flack when M2M(Minutes) came out. Said they 'sold out' as it wasn't like the 1st 2 masterpieces. Even now, *minus one of their lungs,* LP is one of the more versatile bands we have on the menu!!! So what if they strayed from their primordial productions. What, would you rather they *Nickelback you to death?* Do you really want them to just keep regurgitating audible molds forever like most do?
Listening to Rebellion thinking "Wow....this could pass for a new System of Down single." Look at track list, 'Feat. Daron Malakian' "Oh......oOOOHHHHH!!!!"
I agree, quite underrated. I'll admit when this album came out i wasn't too keen. But after listening to the last 2 albums when chester died, i reckon hunting party is up there. But tbh i still think one more light was LPs worst album, but i still think they could do better if they got to do an 8th album. RIP
últimamente escuchar linkin park y sobre todo recordar la voz de chester me esta llenado de una puta melancolía ,.. si linkin park fuera itachi yo ya estaría bajo su genjutsu :3 jkkhjkh
18:27 Pretty sure I heard this one once. *Mom's been gone now about 2yrs.* so this song hits hard. *Leave it to Chester to 'Chest Punch' you with some lyrics!* RIP GOAT
Let me preface this by saying I love linkin park and am big fans of the first 2 albums. But I wish they stuck with the sound of their first 2 albums. I can see why sales fell dramatically for each album after meteora.
