Thanks for the comment! I love the idea of being down to earth in a space game where earth is lost !:p thanks that gave me a laugh. I get what your saying, the pvp i started in was because i was security for mining, i did go pirate when my corp went that way. But at one point 15 years or so ago, we slaughtered someone in a capital that had bought isk (before it was legal), we didnt know at the time, jsut saw an easy mark, and baited and killed him, i was litterally in a barge for the attack because we where so confident of the kill. But then we went into his teamspeak, and this was a kid. maybe 18 but sounding younger, and he was wailing, crying and all sorts of shit. we were havign a laugh but even the worst of us started to become uncomfortable. then his dad came on. The kid had spent his own money on the isk and a lot of it, loosing everything in a few days from the purchase. We laughed, took the piss and went our way. but it botherd me, and i think though we didnt mention it, it bothered everyone else to because within a week we went to null, started fixing our faction standing and then joined a big nullsec allience where the pvp was on equal ground.

That's a good point, and is possible. Though I'm personally skeptical because as you see in the replies to the origional vid, people are specifically saying they make 400bil instead of something else. Its a common trait when making up stories in reply to someone elses to claim you can do the same. And weirdly has happened in the comments of a few videos I made. Unfortunatly I've worked with fair few of adults and children that had this trait as part of mental disorders, or because of childhood trauma. We use to refer to it as 'blackberry syndrome' colloquially.

I doubt it would be seen by them, but I've already had one vid seen by the creator of the origional, and it dosent change my point in the slightest. Some people are putting out disconnected misrepresentations of the game, and these thing are harming the community and game by giving a false impression of the game to new players. The community is shrinking year on year, because of that disillusionment in part and because players naturally leave. I don't mind calling out BS as very few other seem to want to, and I'm in a place where I'm not a youtuber, I don't make money from it so I don't need to feed the algorithm, that means I can be honest, where others might not be. And lets be fair, punching up is a phrase, its not punching anyone, it's critical commentary, like any journalist or movie critic and far safer for the person being critiqued because they arent mentioned. And if they do see It, its on them to enguage if they choose to.

you can understant why, my first foray into youtube was part of ego flexing and part wanting to share weird shit that happened, i made a lot of ksp videos. So i get why it happens and dont dissagree with it for the most part, espically when its skill, a rare thing that took effort or a new thing that wasent done or shown before. like when wingspantt started his 'missile delivery' videos. I just think its harmfull when its 'look at all my shit' which could be just time or bought, espically with there being known society issues around people spending way too much in games. While its not lootboxing, it is still something that shouldent be advertised.

Have you tried removing the launcher and reinstalling from a fresh download?

i had to reset my passwords once they forced me to use the new launcher. once i did that i was able to log in, after a fashion.

that could be it. It seems a common thing when people make thing on YT that they discount their own effort. Which would like me saying 'I can build a faction battlecruser for 55 million and sell it for over half a billion' its technically true if you only count what i bought and paid for versus what i mined refined and reacted. But that ignores the other skills, time, bps etc. Its disconected as the phrase goes.
