I get the distance to the Peaks verses the Lake District. As for the weather, it's done nothing but rain for the last few months everywhere. It is really nice to see you out with other RU-vidrs I follow. Another great meander, Alan. Loved the canoes on the falls, too. Thanks for sharing.

Just had this on the big screen, what a lovely day it was and how lucky we got with the weather. Very tactfully answered about the PD! Keep cracking away at those Wainwrights! Both amazing places but the Lakes definitely has the NYM and the PD beat! Kiss must be amazing live. £1.65 for the Stones? 😱 beautiful Watto sweeps! The Doors for £1? 😱 can’t grumble at that price! Lovely light on the falls. A great video and a lovely meetup! 👍

I didn't know there was some place called the Peaks District! Yeah, The Doors without Jim Morrison would probably not be that spectacular. Beautiful area you guys hiked through on this one. Seeing lots of water is always nice on a hike!

The old lead mines at Grassington are well worth a visit if you’ve never been to them. I went a few years back, it was a great day out even in typical murky Yorkshire weather!

Lots of familiar faces along with you today Alan! Nice sunny day, but looked a bit cold and windy! The Reservoir looked calm and peaceful- in contrast with those falls that were roaring! Pretty exciting to see the kayakers make their way down, and flip, yikes, I would be freezing! 🌟🌟 Fun to hear about your concerts and who was good and not so good. I’m not a big Rock or Metal fan, but I did get to see The Rolling Stones in concert in Seattle - years ago of course - that was an amazing experience. 👌👍👍

I went to Barcelona one July … it was so cold I had to buy a coat & then it rained so hard it was coming over the tops of your shoes. Those falls at the end were spectacular and the kayaking very exciting… to watch not participate haha

Hi Alan, great to see you out with your fellow youtubers, you seem to really enjoy those colabs. Totally get what you say about PD and Lake District, no comparison really and I know the PD really well living close by, still nice but LD gets it easily. Great to hear the stories about the bands, really interesting. This won't be your favourite walk by far but the company looked to more than make up for it and the water falls were stunning, little worried about the canoeist for a few seconds. Alan! A fun meet-up! I think I've only connected thus far with Yasmin. I saw Kiss with my dad, probably 20 years ago on one of their first "retirement tours". They definitely put on a great show. How cool to see the Stone's in 72! Wow. I'm a big musician fan, and started collecting vinyl a year or so ago. Picked up Quadrophenia by The Who the other day which is playing in the background this morning as I watch! 😊

Hi Alan, ye enjoy walking on my own but do like groups as well, do about 6 walks with a local walking club each year nice catching up with the group, ye where you live would be hard to head south to the peaks when them lakes at the end of the A66, great decision to visit the falls, all the best cheers nigel

A nice walk Alan with a great group of folk! Loved seeing the brave kayakers in the white water. So have you been to Download? I did that with my daughter for 5 or 6 years, saw so many great bands! We love FFDP too, Disturbed were the band that blew me away though, as they were support for a band we love A7X.

What a top answer to my question Alan. Thank you. Like yourself, i have seen a lot of bands live over the years since my first being Gillan at Middlesbrough Town Hall in 81. It is tough picking a best gig but some always stand out. For me, my most memorable are Priest at the City Hall in 88. The performances of Motley Crue and Metallica at Donington in 91. They made it really tough for ACDC headlining that day but they pulled it off. Faith No More at Gateshead Stadium in 92 supporting G'n'R. They blew them away in my opinion. Soundgarden were awesome that day too. Like you, i was really surprised by 5FDP. Saw them support Avenged Sevenfold in Manchester 2013. They were incredible. Do you have any gigs lined up this year? Ive got tickets for Foo Fighters, Scorpions and ACDC so far. Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my question so thoroughly. All the best. John.
