Bruins Reporter Elaine Cavalieri sits down with goaltender Linus Ullmark to break down his legendary goalie goal, the first in team history, in a very special edition of The Black Dog Breakdown.
I cant even be coy about how incredible he is I wasn't expecting the Bruins to dominate like their glory days for another five years, but he's single-handedly given them a chance to give Bergeron and Marchand second rings and sped up the timetable on the odds for a deep playoff run I thought Rask's skates would've been a tougher fit for anyone, and yet the President's Trophy is within tasting distance thanks to Linus Ulmark making sure that nobody scores on him twice as much as the other guy, kudos, I hope he has a terrific career
Unfortunately I had to watch this first hand in the highlights reel right after the game ended because of blackouts. I had no idea this was coming... I literally jumped up with my hands in the air as if I was watching it live. I'll never forget it! Linus.... YOU are amazing!!!!!! My son's favorite player in the NHL to boot... and he is a right winger in 10u.. So you know you have a huge fan base when you can even capture a kid who loves every bit of running on the line!
I was at the 7pm Disney on Ice show in my company suite at the TD Garden as this game was being played, and somehow I managed to not hear anything about the score or this incredible moment while there, even though I had a Bruins jacket on. I watched the game on DVR when I got home. Never realized it would turn into one of those games that will be remembered forever in Bruins lore! That photo of all the B's looking like a bunch of Pee-wee's smiling and celebrating on the bench is awesome. Now I expect Swayman will do his best to score one too!!!
I screamed when I was watching it live. I don't scream at games, not even when the red sox won in '04. I was so excited that he got that goal, and how gorgeous it was. As a former goalie, this was a dream even back in high school. Couldn't find a more deserving goalie this season!
Anybody gonna mention how loud we were representing?! Without a loud goal horn, we were loud and proud! Even canuck fans were cheering, I hi-fived a few, so awesome! Sounded like a home game! GO BRUINS!!!
I was at buffalo wild wings to watch the game and I had 2 leave. I get a call from my grandpa the next day asking if we saw the color goal. We watched it and I was flabbergasted. Go Bruins!!!!!!!! Linus Ullmark will always be a Bruin.☺
Major props to Don Sweeney for seeing something in this guy that clearly other teams didn’t. When he signed him for 5mil per year I was like what the hell? For an unproven player really? Well clearly I’m an idiot. We’ll done Donny!
I followed Buffalo las season and saw what he was capable of. But playing on the worst defending team in the league he for sure flew under the radar. He also had some injuries that limited the stats. Any pro scout should have seen his upsides.
He’s a very good goalkeeper probably the Vicenza trophy winner for the 2021-2023 season. The Boston Bruins have two very good goalies in Wymann and Ullmark.
