Which goal was your favourite in this compilation? Also I can possibly do a part 2, so let me know anymore players to include! (Lots of HOFers don't have clips available like Orr and Kurri)
do a part 2 and Include Lanny McDonald Wendell Clark Daniel Cleary Travis Zajac Cam Neely Paul Coffey Bobby Orr Doug Gilmour Bobby Hull Rob Blake Mike Fisher Andre Markov Patrick Eaves Vincent Lecavalier Brad Richards Jay Bouwmeester Dan Hamhuis Jordan Nolan Daymond Langkow Ian White Paul Bissonnette Matt Stajan Ryan Whitney Brooks Orpik Matt Niskanen Brian Rafalski Jamie Langenbrunner Ryan Callahan Ryan Malone David Backes Tim Gleason Rod Brind'Amour and Ron Francis
I was at Chara's last game. For him to score his final goal in the final minute of his final game while once again playing for the team that drafted him 20+ years earlier was nothing short of magic.
I was there as well but I’m a huge lightning fan, had to stand up and applause it was awesome, plus all lightning players shook his hand after, really cool moment
Brian Bickell's last game always gets to me because of the fact that he had to stop playing hockey because he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. I went to his last home game as a Carolina hurricane and it was absolutely amazing to be a part of that.
yknow, i havent been apart of the hockey community for a few years now. but i used to love it. coming back and seeing all yhe players that i grew up watching, all retired. makes me really sad
Without a doubt, the best last career goal of all time is still Bill Barilko. Imagine your last goal in the NHL being the overtime Stanley Cup winner. What a legend. (there is something real poetic about the Howe and Sedin goals though being family goals. Brother to brother, and son to father, heh)
I may be a Detroit fan watching this and shedding a tear over the goals of key contributors to the Red Wing empire, but I also miss the Sedin brothers. Two of the greatest-if not the best-to skate for the Nucks, and total class acts all around.
Pavel Bure in this era, or the 80s, coulda been the all time goals leader. The guy scored like 60 goals multiple times in the trap era.... definitely an almost underrated legend who easily coulda put 70-80 up in a different era. But it's cool that he is the only guy to have his final goal be on a penalty shot, pretty badass tbh!
It’s kinda bumming me out that so many of the players I’ve watched since I discovered my love of hockey are retiring. I’ve been with them most if not all of their career.
I wore 26 during my 04-05 roller hockey season after the Bolts brought the Cup home for the first time. I adored St Louis as my little 12 year old self. Seeing him score that final goal always brings a tear to my eye.
Hardest part of this video is seeing all of these stars in jerseys they aren't known for (IE Chara in islanders, Subban in a New Jersey, Spezza as a Leaf, Federov in caps)
If I was ever in the league I just want one thing, the Stanley cup but if I could have another thing it would be first game first goal and last game last goal 🙏🙏
It was so stupid that Marty St. Louis scored his last goal against the Lightning for the Rangers. All because Yzerman left him off Team Canada in 2014 and he threw such a fit about it that he demanded a trade.
3:42 I’ll always pretend that Spezza’s last goal was in the series against Tampa Bay… that weird one that bounced over Vasilevskiy in game 3 4 or 5 maybe? Spezza technically didn’t touch the puck just barely missing it but if he did it would’ve been his, initially I thought he had tapped it in until the replay showed he just missed it by a millimeter
