Linux Mint - How to create bootable live USB 

On my Ubuntu 10.04, startup-disk-creator freezes at the finishing stage.

Any chance you could show me how to do this via Vista? I have tried all sorts of things yet can't create a usb that will boot so that I can install Mint. I know the disc method would be easier but it's late and I'm out of discs.
