Thanks for making these videos and updates. I got a Legion Go around the time you said nobara was okay for a daily driver state and It's been a ton of fun since. If not for your videos I probably wouldn't have gone though as I really just love the Deck UI and can't really go without it now.
This is AWESOME!!! It's coming close to being a Lenovo Steam Deck! I'm seriously considering either partitioning my hard drive with a bootloader or a 1TB microSD to install it Linux on it. I'm glad I'm a subscriber. Have you tried any games on it (AAA and Indie)? I'm hungry for more videos from you!!
I've beaten a few games already on the LGO with Linux, mostly indies and emulated titles. I'm also playing through Spiderman Remastered right now on the LGO.
Wow. Thats cool. Since Steam sees it as a DualSense Edge that means you can also now customize the RGB per game. If you go to the action sets screen you can add an always on command to any action set or layer and then bind the LED controller settings to the action set or layer. I use on my DualSense to indicate which layer kr set is currently active.
Hey man, nice informative video. One question burns in my mind : Do you feel a difference in battery live vs using windows on the Legion Go ? I just read the other comment which you said there’s no real difference, thx :)
I haven't formally tested between the different operating systems, so I can't give you an answer that I'd consider correct. If I have some time, I'll try to formally test battery, but no guarantees.
Holy! I plan to buy this device in april-may and I was wondering the state of linux, as windows just isn't good for handheld devices like this, now, is it possible to do all this in Bazzite?
Does this fix the Gyro? Currently there is no way to enable it as mouse and it doesn't have any button enabling, meaning I can't press the LT trigger and have the gyro enable.
While I haven't tested Gyro to Mouse, apparently it does work. There are some others on Discord that have been using it in some games. If you want to see gyro in action, you can see it in my other video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RuSboPkZob4.html
Does it have that issue still with the controller defaulting to player 2? ive been bouncing around with different distros and it seems to be a retroarch issue.
If you dual boot, just hold the `Volume Up` button while booting. A menu pops up, tap `Boot Menu`, and then choose Windows or Linux. All done via touchscreen, so it's pretty easy.
