The worst thing was that for a while there, a lot of people were saying that there was no way Soyeon could be writing her music and producing, probably cuz what she was doing was so good and she's a female. So Soyeon made a couple videos taking people through her step-by-step process of making songs, if you ever want to check them out, they are called, "Made By Soyeon" to actually show people what she was doing was genuine. (G)I-DLE are the most incredible girls, but they take a lot of garbage from cruel people on the internet. But that just makes us love our members even more.
Let's not forget Soojin. She was vital to Gidle. We can still support the girls and still remember Soojin. Please check out their b sides like Put it Straight Their Queendom performance was what got me back into kpop. Thank you for your love and reactions to these queens.
The girls were winding up their rookie year and Queendom was a big opportunity to introduce themselves to a larger audience. They were the youngest group in the competition and were up against well established groups. Respect for elders is a big thing in Korea, they were never going to be allowed to win. Idle crushed the first competition and were in first place after that. Then in the 2nd stage, the Korean outrage machine got into action and started to accuse the group of cultural appropriation. It got pretty bad. Even though they were incredible for the rest of the competition they didn't place very high. I don't know if you have ever followed a kpop group closely but unfairly tearing down successful groups is a common thing. The best way through it is to just continue to be awesome and eventually things blow over. Years later, Soojin got caught up in the same type of societal "witch hunt" against school bullying. The accusations were flying around all over kpop. Soojin is so shy and sweet that it's really unimaginable that she could have been a bully in middle school. No accusations even came close to being proven and the original accuser even said later that she was bullied by a group of people and wasn't even sure if Soojin was in that group, but it was too late. CUBE had placed her on hiatus until the accusations were sorted out and she eventually decided to leave the group. If you think that "cancel culture" is bad in America... well... it can't hold a candle to South Korea.
Soyeon wrote Lion while doing Queendom in 2019. Lion is also a b-side on (G)I-dle's I Trust mini album which was released in 2020. So Queendom was the debut of Lion, with many people expecting it to be the new title track. As for the lyrics, if it's not a song written by Minnie or Yuqi, Soyeon definitely did all the lyrics. Shuhua's name is pronounced "Shoo-uh" I believe!
That's why we love (G) I-DLE 👑💜. From self produced music, to amazing lyrics and unbelieveable performance. I believe there is no other group like them. Also as you mentioned, they can be different off stage, these girls are bunch of crackheads, they are so funny. I am waiting for another Gidle reactions. It would be cool if you do guide reaction. On the other hand, if you want to check some other music from them i suggest "Hwaa", " uh oh" or " dumdi dumdi" ☺️
thus is actually a mnet survival show. It was formed because there are 6 artists are having the same comeback date and ofcourse mnet thought it would be great to make it as a survival show, the prize of the shows is a comeback showcase and ofcourse the exposure of the groups to the gp such as their talents and them to be able to perform great performances that they can't do in music shows. This show has 4 rounds 1st round- is them performing their already existing song, it's up to the artists of what song they'll perform 2nd round- is cover songs. The contestants will cover each other songs. 3rd round- has 2 parts. First part is collab unit songs, each contestants will pick a member for vocal and for performance, and those members will be partner with other contestants member, like a collab. Second part is PANDORA which the artists will ask their fans on what song they'll perform, this can be also like a fan dedicated performance. 4th round- this is the final round where they'll compete using their comebacks. the criteria is composed both votes of the audience to the groups and streams of the cb song. since the first queendom has been doing great in sk, mnet made it into seasons just like produce series. I just never bothered watching this behind-the-scenes video. I already knew by the time I found Lion that (G)I-DLE was AMAZING as a group. That could only happen if everything came together and that requires every member to not only pull their own weight, but also to carry all the other members. They are each extremely hard workers and when focused, they become World Class Artists, separately. All these ladies working together makes this group absolutely top-tier.
Lion actually isn't the comeback they had aha, it was a B-SIDE for their "I Trust" Mini album, the comeback title song was "Oh my God". Basically, in this competition, already debuted groups went against eachother, as opposed to trainees that haven't yet debuted or are hoping to redebut competing against eachother. Although they weren't the winners (Mamamoo won) they made the biggest impact and are the reason why Queendom went viral. Lion was created for the final competition, where each group had to perform a new song. While other groups had their companies and creative teams make it for them, Soyeon, as you could see in the video, practically came up with all of it by herself.

The more Sooshu videos i watch, the more i'm sad. They looked so happy, i still can't believe she won't comeback, and I'm so proud how Shuhua resisted and came back even stronger.
(G)I-dle is such an incredible group. They are so talented, so different. And about Soojin, I completely understand 😔 My bias is Minnie and Yuqi is my bias wrecker but I love them all and I’m OT6 forever 💜
Soyeon has been writing before gidle was a group since she was a kid in produce 101 that's when the world got to know her she wrote latata which was their first song soyeon has written and produced every single gidle title track and most of the b sides
Queendom was the predecessor to the Kingdom show you referenced. It is a competition show where the groups performed 1) a remix of one of their hitsongs 2) a cover of a song from other participating teams 3) a vocal and dancing challenge (1 person per group for vocal and onther 1 for dancing) 4) a remix of one of their B-Sides and finally 5) a new single made for the show, in Idle's case it was Lion. Lion is technically a comeback for this show but only a b-side in the I Trust album, it wasn't promoted in music shows or anything outside of Queendom. Fortunately the single did so well it got its own MV though (single came earlier than MV)!

I'm sure someone already explained the competition show, the performances from them and all the other groups were amazing. It would be awesome if you considered checking out GIDLE put it straight nightmare version, Mamamoo I Miss You and Destiny, Oh My Girl Destiny.
First and foremost 💜 Soojin 💜 😢 This performance is legendary. As others have said, their performance of "Put It Straight" on Queendom is equally as amazing. Legit gives me chills. Someday, I hope you get to Dreamcatcher, off or on stream. They're another group that will be one of the most unique experiences you'll have in K-pop. You could check out their latest title track, "Vision". Personally, I've really been feeling one of their standalone songs, "BEcause", lately though. Thanks for the reactions to all of the groups!
The show was the Korean s tv program hear these six girl group come back at the same time, then they make the comeback stage more drama and commercial way to earn clounds, therefore they make this competition program to them to earn the extra comeback stage score! You should watch the whole queendom show( only this season is so good to hell as the real reality show) others are making frames from it
