My Norman army took on Steve's Anglo Saxons and gave them a hard time. Watch the last part of the video to see why. We will refight in a few weeks, I am sure it won't be as easy next time.
Nice batrep Alec. How about naming the victorious knight, Sir Norman Night, it was after all the Norman's night (sorry pretty terrible punning and playing on words there). Best wishes Lexi.
Afternoon Alec, Lion Rampant is a bit simpler than Saga and its a larger game. Is that Graham helping you Alec!! Well Alec after thinking the game was over at about 12.00 minutes in you manged to string out the game for another 12 minutes.
It's a lot easier than Saga Leslie, which is why I like it, I can play without having to concentrate too much. 😁 Yes, it was over very early, but as we had no time to restart and as I have seen games turn around, I let it go on, but it was very unlikely he would have turned it around so much to win. He will know what to do next time, so I expect a tougher game.
Thank you - enjoyed. Do you think the rules would allow the game to be upscaled - say armies at least twice the size, to put on a bigger ‘small battle’ and allow something like a themed Hastings etc?
Yes, we often play 2v2 games and there is no reason why a larger 3v3 or 4v4 would not work. We play that each side takes a turn and have not had any issues at all. 👍
He had played a few, but not as many as me. I decided to play without giving advice, otherwise you end up playing yourself. But I always gives tips after the game, so hopefully next time he will give me a harder game. I am a sport coach as well, and the golden rule is never give advice during a game, save it for when the game is over. However, for someone who is trying out a game for the first time I would advise and give options. 😁
