I'm not dead! Just doing too many other things and never feel like making videos. Here is a compilation of my Amtrak Acela and HHP-8 locomotives over the past few years. You'll notice the Acela semi broken throughout the video, as it always had some problems after running and I never got around to fixing them. Currently it has zero issues after some new parts.

Nice, could you make a sketchup tutorial on how to make large tender engines, since I am intrested? I am starting out modelling for trainz.

Nice and lucky!!! I am just ashamed at Lionel for not making a second run of the Acela set. I think Lionel doesn’t want make it after they had problems with the set’s motorized doors and more people who buy their trains are older and remember trains mostly from the 20th century (streamliners over modern high speed stuff). I feel it’s the same with MTH especially when I pestered them several times to include the ICE 3 as part of their European O gauge Premier lineup. They just stick with the streamliners, the Aero and Turbotrains (failed experimental trains). I just moved and I’m just going to probably stick with modern freight trains at this moment.

Lionel is doing another run of the Acela in a few years. They announced it this last TCA I believe. It will be legacy and better engineered. Both companies are not focusing on making new molds anymore, rather take an old mold and put the new electronics in it. Take the new 4-8-4 Northerns Lionel is putting out; same as the legacy and TMCC variant, but with just new electronics and whistle smoke. Granted they are taking the K-line switcher and giving legacy electronics which is good I think. MTH just re-hashes the same old stuff they have made for quite some time now.

@@TomixNscale89 In a way that's true. But there are a few items that have been given slight mold updates. The Lionel ES44ACs in the 2019 volume 1 catalog will probably be very similar to the first run plastic bodied ES44s (the NS Heritage versions), but with a new cab tooling that has the headlight on the nose and not on the cab. But everything else in the catalog was mostly recycled tooling.
