I have 6 cars, but one of them has some bad couplers on it. It constantly uncoupled almost every 30 to 60 seconds so I just left it off the train for this video haha 😂
I hope you get a solution for the coupler problem. I have the 21" UP passenger cars to deal with that issue. Now I've added 8 N Y C cars like yours......😮🤯
Hi Jay. This looks great! I also have a shelf layout. I need to buy the LED strips. Can you tell me exactly what led strip you have in more detail please. Like How many LEDs per inch, etc. Thank you
Thank you! I just grabbed these led strip lights off of Amazon. I don’t remember exactly how many are in each roll, but Amazon has a pretty decent selection!
Eventually I might get the station sound cars! The curves I have on the shelf layout are O-72 and O-81. The only problem I’ve had with the couplers has been with one car from the two pack. No matter what I do, the couplers just won’t stay closed and are constantly opening.
Lionel making the couplers like this is not right. I watch videos of 12" passenger cars by MTH, Atlas Weaver, ect. with regular knuckle couplers. They have space between cars, not as realistic but so what, it's O gauge 3 rail and you can relax and watch the train go round and round. You can turn out the lights and relax. You don't haver to worry that you're going to drop a car and get it smashed into the next time around. I also have the North Pole Central set and this is the first and last time I buy 21" passenger cars with kinematic couplers. Lionel is disserving 95% of its market.@@jaystrains27
@@jaystrains27a little late here but I’d recommend a tight rubber O-ring around the neck of the coupler to hold the drop plate snug against it. Worked for me with my uncouple problems.
