HAVE PELLET SMOKE UNIT SMOKED BEFORE WONT SMOKE WITH THE PELLETS I JUST GOT

What is the material that you use under the heating unit? It kinda looks like fiberglass, but doubt that's it.

You did not mention thee grounding tab for the smoke unit? Does it just jam in between the top cap and the main housing?
