Singer-songwriter Lionel Richie has won four Grammy Awards. His latest recognition is a Kennedy Center Honor. Alex Wagner spoke with Richie at his home in Beverly Hills, California, to learn how a shy boy from Alabama became an influential star.

Lionel Richie is singer, songwriter, great family man, lived, respected his parents- grandmother, humanitarian.Multitakented. Been his fan since 1970. Wish I could meet him AGAIN, bring him the rose bush and red bougainvillea I grew for him and get his autograph. Still following him

This fantastic Man, wrote some of the most beautiful, memorable, and iconic Love songs ever sung, and just think of the weddings and babies created while his music played!!! He is such a giving human being, with talent abounding !!!! He so deserved the Kennedy Center Honors !!! The songs he created touch the heart, jog the memory and can take me to times in my life that I will never forget!! Thank You !! Mr. Lionel Ritchie !! You are the ONE !!! The Best, as far as I'm concerned , the Only !!! No one, and I mean, No One, can do it like You !!!! keep doing IT !!!!!! Luv Ya !!!

Lionel Richie is one fine guy can't get any better than him if you tired. I love the way his grandmother learned him how to play the piano but he played by his eyes how smart was that huh. She sure was a beautiful lady. And I loved how the song 🎵 "Hello " became to be had not ever heard that before wonderful Lionel just awesome my friend ❤️ ♥️.
