Gosh I always loved Lionel as a person, cause he has such a positive energy and he has a lot of love for everyone he cares about and other's too. I commend him for taking in Nicole and raising her as his own! I'm adopted and I was adopted by great parents and I'm grateful everyday cause so many abandoned kids end up having a hard knock life, foster homes with abusive foster parents or institutions where nobody gives a flying eff about you. I love him just for that alone, but for so many other things too. He's a amazing father and person. God bless him and the whole fam!

I have much admiration and respect for Lionel and ex wife Richie, because of thier parenting skills and much love for his daughter Nicole Richie. It doesn't get better than this. My mother beat me on a regular basis, and my father by not pay a dime in child support. [Two major crimes. Both now dead ]

2:08 He's right. My bff used to be into raving, partying, doing drugs and drinking and dating the wrong guys. One day on the way home from a rave, her drunk ex crashed and everyone nearly died. They had one too many people in the car and therefore one of those people actually broke her neck. My friend also almost died of alcohol poisoning the year after. She's sober now.

I dealt with that exact same thing I went in that hole and walked right out and I cut off my supposed “friends” that kept using me for rides and drugs. I’ve never went to rehab but I did what I had to do to make a better outcome for myself. It’s not easy and I’m glad I heard this story because I felt like I was doing it alone.

If I didn’t have Lionel’s music growing up that gave me the hope of the Love I didn’t have given to me or my brothers, I have no idea where I’d be.. The role he had in my life from 3 years old on up, there’s no doubt in my mind Lionel carried me and perhaps saved my Life literally.. because of him i had the Light needed that gave me the hope to see me thru what I would wish on nobody..
