Oh my goodness....guy's I'm completely blown away by the PRR CC2s engine!!!! I never imagined a toy train could ever be this real!!! I wanted this steam locomotive from the day It was first announced, and I feel very fortunate to finally own one, and to be able to share it with everyone! Thanks so so much for watching! @PaperShishigami What it sounds like you're grandmother had were Standard Gauge Tin plate trains. They are slightly larger than O scale trains and require a bit larger track as well. If you want to buy some trains like that my best suggestion would be eBay in the standard gauge section, or train shows. But if you like the shiny tin plate look of trains, and want a new one, then I highly recommend MTH's Tin Plate trains, which are equipped with proto sound 2.0. Hope this helps & good luck!

@escape150 Hey Ron! Yes Lionel's vision line steamer have these features, and they are simply stunning, especially in person! You will have to see it in person one day soon! Its incredible, and it will blow you away! I think I have permanent wrinkles from smiling so much after running it for the first time! haha mmmm...MTH is way behind in this category. @ohiosouthern Oh man Kodi, This enigne is so much fun to operate! Lionel's Vision line steamer's are just incredible. The swinging bell, the whistle smoke, and the blowdown effects are addicting as heck! The reason this locomotive didn't have pilot trucks is because it was built to be a switcher "working the hump" on the PRR. IIt was an early era mallet, made in 1919 by Baldwin. Only 10 of these were produced back then. Also, I think it was long enough for the pilot trucks. Thanks again

@altoonaPArailfan MTH is way behind in technology, regardless of what anybody says! This thing is so so sick, I'm just in awe every time I turn the thing on! I think I have only made it around the entire layout with it once!!!! LOL I just keep running it right in front of where I sit, and playing with all the vision features! @Bassfanatic94 HAHA Thank Mike!!! Yeah it really puts the icing on the cake for my layout! So thrilled to finally have this beast! Matt I think is right about the gearing on the CC2. Its seems to be a much slower operating locomotive, I had the throttle halfway up, and it still seemed to crawl around the layout. for a second I though I had the train brake on. It will move though for sure, but I plan to run it gently. Thanks for your supportive comments as always my friend!

@viper1976xxx LMAO Thanks man!!! Yeah don't get in trouble with your wife! That wouldn't be good! This is one sick loco though! If you want to best detailed Lionel engine this is the one for you, and you can still find these at a reasonable price occasionally. Legacy is a must have with it! Good luck and stay out of trouble! LOL!!!!

@bigsteam5344 HAHA Yeah Its Amazing to say the least! I wish I had your JLC Big Boy too! lol I couldn't run it though, since my main is only O60. :-( So this baby works prefect on my table! Yes you can hold down the blowdown button, Matt told me after I made this video, I tried it and it works. HOLY SMOKE when you do!!!!!!! Thanks for the great comments!

@Southerntreatment Joey G If you lived by me I'd say ..get over here my brother, because you have to see this in person! Its freakin ridiculous! I jumped on the opportunity to get this! Its like a real steam engine runnin' on the PIR no doubt! Its sad, but it puts my WM challenger to shame. Thanks for the great comments! Rock on!

If you ever have the opportunity to buy a vision steam engine...do it! You will not regret it, because its so real and addicting as heck! I had never seen a vision engine run in person before, so When I ran this for the first time I was blown away!! I will keep making video's don't you worry! lol I'm happy to be able to share it with everybody.

@Railroadkid1937 Me too? Um I know there are a couple guys out there with this engine but nobody in our "click" per-say. If you can get one, Do it! You won't regret it at all, its totally off the hook! Yes I agree about the echo in the whistles. Its noticeable right when you let go of the lever. Thanks for the great comments!

Nice Video Nick, I have never heard of this engine before, You did a great video on it. Sounds good. I like the smoke effects. I personal think it looks a little wired with out the pilot trucks, But Hey that's me. lol Still a Great engine. Looks like you will have plenty of fun with it. 2 Thumps Up!

@geminijets11 The blowdown effects are even cooler than I showed in this video. I didn't realize you can hold down the button and the smoke just will keep pouring out! I tried it and it filled the whole area around the engine with a huge cloud! LOL Thanks for watching and commenting!

@slidream Thanks so much!!! Its pretty big, but not too big. 24" Not like these Giant JLC big boy's and challengers that are 31" It can negotiate my O60 curves with no problem.

@LycoValleyRRFan Yes it is made after a real loco. In 1919 Balwin locomotive work made 10 of these steam engines to do service in the hump yards on the PRR.

You have to love the Legacy system that the enginers sound like their talking and the horn and whistle. Just wanted to add if I should get the 460 4-4-2 it costs almost 700 dollars and has great legacy features including whistle steam. I would also get the Legacy system. Do you think I should get all of this!

Nick I am seriously considering getting a Lionel Legacy steamer. I am highly interested in the 460 from their recent catalog. It is not a vision steamer, but it is a pennsy engine 4-4-2 atlantic that is at the R.R.M of PA.

I like how in slightly older legacy locomotives, the engineer and yard master say the cab # that's on the side of the engine. In the brand-spanking new ones, they don't do that anymore. A little disappointing. And now, the all use the same voice as well.

Yeah the swinging bell is an awesome feature. This visionline cc2, the visionline Hudson and the new s-2 all have the swinging bell. So just 3 models. Not very common

Couldn't have said it better myself. I think it's right on up there with the Big Boy, Challenger, & Niagara. Hope yours brings you many years of fun! Hopefully with the Challenger coming back this summer (which I am getting one) it's a sign that the CC2 will be coming back soon. 2020 maybe? Anyway enjoy yours.
