I just HAPPENED to get back into sports at the beginning of the year and as a Michigander who was raised elsewhere due to the army family lifestyle, I jumped on the Lions train in January and didn't look back. Just in time to not be a bandwagon fan, I have Grossi to thank for that. The fact that this was the year that the team that I'm proud to call MY TEAM at the office water cooler and I get to fall in love with the owners and soul of the city and not just the people on the field, by God I love it here.

Exactly He got so much shit for no reason but is a top 10 qb and has accomplished a decent amount and more than several other qbs.

The reason why he’s getting so much flack and disrespect because he failed in LA while Detroit failed Matthew Stafford. Goff had a really good coach in Sean McVay and a really good GM in Les Snead. The ownership of the rams has a reputation of being top class. Matthew Stafford didn’t have that in Detroit. Matthew Stafford got traded from a sorry ass franchise in Detroit at the time and proved to the world that with that Super Bowl ring, Detroit was the one that held him back while LA gave Goff everything he needed but still failed in LA because of the fact that he didn’t deliver that Super Bowl for LA in 2018. The narrative that the media and the NFL scriptwriters set for this game was dumb. It doesn’t matter that Goff beat Stafford and McVay today, if he doesn’t deliver a Super Bowl ring to Detroit. If you want to truly get revenge on McVay then you have to win a Super Bowl in Detroit because of the fact that Matthew Stafford won that ring with goffs team. Winning a superbowl in Detroit with his own team is going to put more weight than the Super Bowl ring that Stafford won in LA because of the fact that he won it in Detroit.

Stafford made a few plays but the defense won the game.

Spielman is somebody that would have been a fantastic GM but he doesn't want to be away from his family to that level which I completely understand because I wouldn't either it's a huge commitment but he's brilliant as far as football IQ goes and he was willing to put in the time to be the guy that put a rubber stamp on who we hired and that was basically the difference and why we hired the right people finally

Patriots fan here too and I think they could have a run where they’re winning many division titles, possibly a run of 10 in a row. They’ll get a Super Bowl too, but I could see the NFC North running through Detroit for the next 15-20 years with maybe the Packers being their only real competition.
