This really is a beautiful little knife. Modern N390 steel, carbon fibre and titanium bolsters & liners, combined with traditional styling feel, make for a perfect edc knife!
Love these Lionsteel slipjoint. The Barlows are my favorites, with the best man in close second. I have about 4 at the moment but have ordered more variants directly from Lionsteel Italy. Super high quality materials with Excellent craftsmanship and traditional design. I am somewhat obsessed with them at the moment. 😜🤘🏻🇨🇦
David Kurle thank you, I like it, but it’s not to everyone’s taste. If you’re not already subscribed, pop over to UK Legal Carry Knives. Al will shortly be reviewing this (I’ve lent it) plus his single blade version and the Dom.
That is quite an attractive pattern by LionSteel! It's a great modern version of what is sometimes called the moose pattern. The blade selection of the Wharncliffe and the clip is an excellent choice! Thanks for sharing your new edc beauty!
I like this two blade version is much nicer, especially with those blade choices. Really nice modern take on the old pen knife! Thanks for the second look at the twin blade!
I like the Lion steel modern slip joints even though they’ve been getting bad press for their M390 hardness which Doesn’t bother me now, I love my knives and won’t get rid of them and I really like this one as it has two of my favourite blade shapes also thanks for the great review. 👍🙂
David Thompson I’m very pleased with it, but I’ve sent it to UK Legal Carry Knives so he can do a comparison with the single blade and the Dom. Thank you for watching 👍😃
The two blade version is much nicer than the single, more versatile and it looks better balanced. The crowning everywhere is what the Americans call a 'Heritage fit', it hides small discrepancies while still looking good. Have you seen the Statgear Ledge slipjoints, on ebay for 35 bucks, D2 steel, UK legal? Shape wise they look a little like the Kershaw Skyline to me.
chris osh you’re spot on, it’s the way this knife was designed to be. eBay UK doesn’t sell knives! Amazon does, but not eBay. Thank you for watching 👍😃
@@slick_slicers Sorry, I know ebay Uk has no knives, I use ebay US that's where the Statgear stuff is, though I live in Spain, Spanish sellers are expensive so it is cheaper to buy in the states and pay the shipping. It seems to be a new American company having their knives made in China. www.ebay.com/itm/Statgear-Slip-Joint-Folder-Knife-Black-G10-Handle-D2-Sheepsfoot-Blade-STAT113BLK/123775723175?_trkparms=aid%3D333200%26algo%3DCOMP.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20171012094517%26meid%3D227eaf23ebcd40498343dd6797f563cb%26pid%3D100008%26rk%3D7%26rkt%3D12%26sd%3D352591746711%26itm%3D123775723175%26pmt%3D1%26noa%3D0%26pg%3D2047675&_trksid=p2047675.c100008.m2219
Thanks for the review, I like the look of the knife and the two styles of blades, but opening them looks horrid, i hate nail nicks and the position toward the pivot and the strong spring put me off. at least I can make a choice, not for me
It certainly looks better with the two blades than the one blade plus 'empty' bolster version. Lookswise, it doesn't do it for me, and when you put the second knife next to it I could see why - I'd save up for the JE Made, or even pay less and get that HH Slipstream Paddy's been enthusing over. It's a personal thing of course, but I just think this Lionsteel range lacks visual beauty.
David S the JEM is a gem without a doubt, but I like this too. It has a modern, functional look and feel too it. The Slipstream doesn’t do it for me. The slabs of titanium and simple blade just leave me cold. Thank you for watching and commenting 👍😃
