It’s Really Great that you work with your Son while making some informative videos. It will pay off in spades for you both one day. Thanks for your hard work.
I recently got the T5, love it. Then got the T6 in K490. Just cos I already have quite a few 3v knives. Always pushing to own all the best steels in my lifetime and the K490 by all reports is equal. Havent tested it yet! 😊
Just got mine last week ...love the family side of bushcrafting long may it continue friend , your raising a bright sounding smart young man learning skills from his pap what more in life do you need .. I got the M7 to match them up and its a fantastic chopper I would highly recommend it..stay cool and young @ Heart
Love ❤️ the knife and the sheath except for the snap. My snap wouldn't close no matter what I did so I cut it off. The retention is still good and I have no complaints at all!
Kevin you said you laid back the edge a little bit. Can you clarify or give more detail? Do you mean you reprofiled at a lesser angle? If so, about what angle?
Overall quality and ergonomics are unheard of for the price. I had the Lion Steel M5 on hand when my buddy helped me get my first deer, an 8 point buck that I butchered with the knife. I hesitated, got back home and did inventory, and gifted as a Christmas Present...he's a really good friend. I have a Fallkniven PHK and H1 pair so, we're both happy. By the way, the edge retention on that M5 is unbelievable.
Love the handle and the overall ergonomics. Nice sheet. An upgrade in the blade steel and a hollow or convex grind would make it a better all rounder. Good review team!
