Thank you for the video. I appreciate that you did the unboxing, and captured all the little issues that someone might encounter as a first time installer of the product. I feel like you very clearly demonstrated exactly what I will encounter if I buy this, I because of your video, I think I will buy one.
Thank you for watching! I’m still trying to figure out this whole video making thing. I have to tell you that it’s worth every penny. Inexpensive upgrade that I am extremely happy that we made. Makes a huge difference and really makes the steps solid as a rock. Hope you enjoy!
Thanks for the video. I ordered this item a few weeks ago and decided to install today. Of course I had lost the directions but this video really helped. Seems like a great product to stop the springboard effect.
It’s been one of those simple upgrades that was with every penny. Our dogs appreciate it as well. Since my wife is a light sleeper, she appreciate the stability as well. Thank you for commenting!
You’ll love it. It’s been worth the money and effort to install. We had solid steps on a previous trailer and missed them. This is as good as a solid step from a stability standpoint. Steps are still a little small and no top landing but it makes the steps solid as a rock. Must have upgrade in our opinion! Thank you very much for commenting!
Appricate your review and details. We like our solid Step, and plan to go with support bracket ..maybe...I'm somewhat broke, daughters wedding end of month lol so out comes the plastic and Solid Steps it is lol ... We just purchased a new 2022 Imagine XLS 22mle. God willing taking delivery after daughters wedding. Arrived today on dealers lot..
From other videos I've seen and from the illustrations on the packaging it appears that you have installed them backwards. The release knobs clear the next step in the front underside channel of the step if the knobs face the opposite of your installation. Check it out and let me know what you think. I just recieved mine and plan on installing them soon.
I’m not sure it really matters either way. But I think they look better when the steps are down if the knobs are facing towards the trailer. And in reality, the effort to adjust height of the legs whether facing the front or back would be negligible. The only hassle i have with them is inserting and removing the storage locking pins before and after use. The steps we have have have those lateral support beams that the stance mounts between. Road grime and grit gets on them making them a little tight to remove and install. But that is again a very very minor issue that may cost you a half a second of effort. Some occasional WD40 would prob solve it. You’ll def enjoy them. It’s one of those small upgrades that has turned out to be very useful. And noticeable. The next thing I’m going to do is add those carpet pieces that help make the steps more secure. We have dogs and the steps can be a little slippery. Plus we have a little boy that would appreciate the additional cushioning in case he takes a nose dive into the steps. Lol The extended stair handle is prob on the list as well! Enjoy the solid stance and keep us posted on how you like it!
I purchased the same product. Have similar aluminum steps. Was looking for a way to install without drilling through entire lower step and exposing bolt heads on upper step surface. Instead I got a life story and a host of things not related to the "installation". No closeups of where fasteners went and so on. Gonna find another channel with a proper how to without all the non-content commentary. Regards.
