Another benefit of using Terro is that sometimes you can see exactly where the ants are coming in from. For example, I put a Terro ant stake outside along the porch. Later that day I followed the ant trail from the Terro stake, watching the ants coming in and out from underneath the wooden porch post which connects to the house! So now I know how these carpenter ants have been making their way inside. I never would’ve known otherwise.
So glad I found this video. I bought every kind of Terro liquid ant trap. But couldn’t figure out how the liquid in the bottle worked. This is the only you tube video I found on it. Good demonstration.
I recently moved into an apartment. Very clean unit. I saw a few Carpenter Ants a few weeks after moving in. Tried the cheap bait traps, I still saw ants. Saw this video on RU-vid. Tried it. I was simply amazed how fast the little bastards were on it. Results and feedback to follow.
Mine are in the kitchen and the only thing that seems to be working is Pine-Sol spray in a bottle and baby powder but yet they're still coming a few I want them gone or I'm not cooking anymore that's how I feel I cook I do the dishes put all the food away and here they come little by little
Great informative video, thanks for filming some proof! Will this stuff work on tiny little ants?? Everyday I’ve been seeing 7-10 ants crawl out of my wall. They’re super small, and black. I’m horrified :(
Put the traps or bait spots all over the house in out of the way spots, closets behind toilets basement attic, I use water bottle caps turned upside down. It holds more bait and confines it. Trust me I've seen 100s of ants swarmed around the caps and a mile long line getting to it. They pass out reservations. I always drink soda pop, it's always on the table next to me, nothing worse then waking up taking a big gulp of pop then seeing a million ants on top of the pop can after you drank some. In the spring you learn to look before you drink!
TERRO is awesome....especially for Carpenter ants. Just be patient and allow the product to do it's thing and let the ants bring the feast to their nest to feed the colony. Ants are junkies for this stuff.
I used it intially there was lot of ants gathered same like video and next it all dissappeared. So my question: how it will disapper? Will it taste that gel and go back and die some where or what happens? Just curious where are the dead bodies?
I'm finding ours in the kitchen and I don't leave dirty dishes I don't leave anything on the counter food wise and yet they're still there and they're not carpenter ants or whatever tiny so tiny you got to have like a magnifying glass to see them and I bought some of this so I'm anxious to try it I hope it works
I have yet to see if this product works fully yet just bought it, however as a former pest control guy i will say this is the style of bait you want to buy. Kill on contact is completely worthless. Baits like this are spread throughout the colony and they slowly die off. Just be persistent. Its not gonna happen overnight, it may take a week or even a month but eventually most will be gone. Looking forward to seeing how it works for me
I didnt have to clean up the mess, they came back and got the dead and the next morning, all the dead ants had gone so, I think they came back and got them and took them to the nest. I am going to get these tear off strips. I been using the other kind of terro and most of the ants falls inside and never make it back to the nest.
No, they may look like their dead at the buffet line but their not. They are feeding. If you watch them they will finally go back to the nest with the poison
This stuff works GREAT!!! I just successfully annihilated yet another army kingdom over the weekend. Put down two large drops and within 1/2 hour the drops were completely covered with ants. The buffet was open and in came the soldiers. By morning, not a SINGLE ant was spotted. Not even one.....
But that doesn’t tell us if it works or not! Sure it DID attract the ants initially & hopefully they all died back in their dwelling. So a week later any ants return? A month later? Please do an update
I have been fighting those extremely small ants and they love and thrive on Liquid Terro. I now have m ore ants than before. Now what. Tried sugar(syrup) and Borax, no avail.
Child of the Creator God I had hundreds of little ants in my kitchen and bathroom I called Terminix and they told me instead of paying hundreds of dollars for a yearly contract with them for me to use this stuff. They said it doesn’t even start to work until 2-3 days that way it allows the ants to survive long enough to bring it back to the colony. Depending on how large the colony is it could work within a couple of days or it could take up to 3 weeks to work completely. The ants in my kitchen were gone within 3 days but it’s been a week now and I still have ants coming to the bait in the bathroom but nothing like it used to be so it’s working it just takes time they said. They also said to get the Terro outdoor bait traps you place one in the ground underneath your kitchen window or wherever they are coming in at. Just remember it can take up to 3-4 weeks to work completely depending on how big of a colony your dealing with. I hope this helps some.
@colleenbennett2867 as someone who used do be in pest control you are right. You just need to give it time. It can take a month for you to fully get rid of your problem but as long as you are consistent with putting out the gel baits eventually you'll get them
I used this stuff .. and I put some on my wall sense that's what the ants are coming from... Well know I was wrong coming from my window seal... Little assholes always find a way in and out.. also this shit is useless unless it actually gets to the next well issue with mine is there dying before they get back .. so idk if I'm using it wrong or what!
Best to read instructions first. I didn't and squirted in different places. I saw ants on my ceiling and let's just say it was so many grouped on ceiling. I lost it!! It's less and less ants though..
They get smart after you have used this and will walk around it. Give the bottle a good shot of chocolate syrup and watch them go nuts TELL THE KIDS WHAT YOU ARE DOING! We had them bad and I only had to do that once 3 months ago. None in sight.
It's near the anthole. I have 6 of them near it. They go in. They eat. They go away. This has been going on for 10 days now. It has helped but I'm waiting to see when they will all finally be gone.
@@KhmerYumYum It works but you have to be consistent with the product. I looked into how ants go into hibernation and how they survive its really impossible to get rid of the completely. But it works
99% went away. Left them on the floor in the kitchen and saw a couple in there by my surprise. I though they were all gone. Think a couple may have been in the radiator. Spraying RAID and will buy more of Tero. It sure did a good job of killing most of them.
It works but you will never win the Battle!!!! If your neighbor is not using and the guy down the street is not using it they will always come back looking for water....I still use at first sight of these little fuckers but geeesh it never ends and my house is clean they come looking for water and there is plenty of water outside when the sprinkler comes on... WTF
it does not work. i put 10 ants eat the terro in a empty water bottle. the ants was gone for least then a day. what happen to the ants??? did they die?????? no....the answer is no... the 10 ants in the water bottle still alive and runing around for 3 days and i put some food in the bottle 4th day...now 10 days still alive runing around looking for more food....
