Lisa Bluder was absolutely right. Playing music when someone shoots free throws is bs, and the visiting team always goes first for press so they can catch their transportation home. It’s just protocol.
What about the lawsuit against Nebraska concerning the inappropriate relationship between the assistant coach and Ashley Scoggin.? Could this affect Nebraska’s program and get the head coach fired?
Do you have any idea what she was complaining about? The protocol is that the visiting team has post game first so they can catch their flight. Also, you don't play music while the opposing team shoots free-throws. I hope Nebraska coach doesn't set the standard morality for you. A coach player relationship and then slut shaming the player that the coach took advantage of. They must have learned it from the football team.
Inappropriate on so many levels! Not professional. Ruined the moment for Nebraska play, they deserved apology for this nonsense! Iowa coach out of line . If they travel charter or private they will more likely have police escort and the plane will wait on the team !!
I don’t know, I think it’s out of line to taunt a player over the loudspeaker when they are shooting and it’s also out of line to ignore protocol by not letting the visiting team do their press conference first. Seems like there was some pretty blatant disrespect there. As the old saying goes, you don’t get respect without earning it first. Feels like a learning moment for both teams. And I definitely think Iowa blew this game for themselves down the stretch. They’ve been building leads in the third quarter only to blow them in the fourth for a lot of games in a row now, so it’s not surprising they eventually lost that way. They definitely have some growing to do.
@@laurasolomon2491 I read from the Nebraska paper, that the team celebrated on court for 20 min and assumed Iowa was doing their presser, but apparently they were in the locker room (guess coach was talking to her team)…But when it’s all said and done, it was a lack of communication and that’s on the SID. 😏
Read Bluder was mad that Nebraska was doing their press conference before the visiting team. Usually the visiting team goes first because they have to travel. And sounded like she was complaining about music playing during free throws which I don't think happened.
They actually did play music while CC was shooting the technical free throws. In the moment I thought it was weird, but didn't feed too much into it. Iowa still had control of the game and should have won.
I was watching this game live and they definitely played a sort of loud cartoonish failure sound definitely meant to be embarrassing after Caitlin missed a free throw. I was really surprised to hear it. I think Lisa Bluder was probably especially pissed because her team beat themselves down the stretch, so maybe she overreacted, but it’s definitely weird to ignore protocol and not let the visiting team do their press conference first and to play music while a player is shooting. That’s pretty disrespectful on Nebraska’s behalf as well. Maybe Bluder could have controlled her temper better, but she was standing up for her team.
