Most rich people stay rich by spending like the poor and investing without stopping then most poor people stay poor by spending like the rich yet not investing like the rich but impressing them
Exactly! My grandparents were so frugal but they had a TON of money on both sides. I remember my grandfather telling me "you want to make money while you sleep." And I guess that attitude passed down to my dad (RIP), because I remember going to his house one day and I had bought something I really liked, so I wanted to show it to him. So I said "Look at this! Isn't it cute? It was on sale...I saved 50%!" My dad replied "Well, if you're spending, you're not saving." Obviously I had no retort, and that has always stuck with me.
Saving and investing wisely while prioritizing necessities and a few small luxuries in relation to one's total assets is a great approach. It helps ensure financial stability and I my for the enjoyment of life's little pleasures without compromising long-term financial goals. It's all about finding a balance that works for you!
I became a Bluder and Iowa fan thanks to Clark!! Catlin got my basketball juices flowing again. Seriously, I had stop watching games altogether until I heard of Clark and started watching, and I became her fan immediately!! Now Sides is trying to goo aside with Clark and tone her down; why?? Get Bluder and fire Sides, and if you don't get Bluder; FIRE SIDES!!
@@anthonytaylor7928 - Bluder wouldn't take the job anyway...that's why she's quitting Iowa. Next year Iowa will have more eyes than ever on its program. Bluder doesn't want anything to do with millions of more eyes demanding high expectations, so she quit. She stayed at Iowa for 25 years because there were no expectations, so her mediocre playoff record didn't matter - the last 2 years with Clark are the only years of her 25 that she accomplished anything. Bluder was afraid to do the work necessary to retool the team.
@@JuniorHuerraa - what's even worse is Clark's ego, oversized media attention, refusal to be coachable, special perks, and head-of-the-line privileges that no previous more-accomplished rookie has ever received, could lead to team dissension, locker room problems, and more. Going forward, if Clark leans forward into her "Prima Donna" marketing status, it could get ugly in Indiana.
under performing? Do you know who Christie Sides is? What record are you referring to? And why would Bluder take a 90% pay cut to go to an inferior league and team?
I'm thinking with all the bs going on about Indiana's coach not knowing how to get the most out of CC I wouldn't be surprised to see her fired and Bluder hired to replace her but then again I've got a suspicious mind. 😊
Jan Jensen will do a good job. And the fact is that Coach Bluder could not win a national championship even with the best women's college basketball player on the team. But Bluder was a very good coach and well respected, no doubt. Will be interesting to watch the Hawks next season. Go Jan and Go Hawks!!!
Bahaha If you actually believe Iowa will ever be back in the National title game ever again, you’re a fool. For them to make it two years in a row is nearly impossible in itself. With or without CC! A great achievement.
I'm confused, in the parts of her statement they showed, I did not see where she said she was retiring, she said stepping down. I need to go see her full statement.
She's coached the best team and probably doesn't have it in her to rebuild. Good time for her to step down & what a great opportunity for Coach Jenson.
Bluder has many accolades over her career. In the end her legacy of her love of women sports and her ‘girls’ will be my memory of her greatest achievements and building a winning culture for Iowa!
This era will be be the biggest change equal equivalent for women and other areas. I at an early age as a boy was surrounded by females with no husbands, living in a rural ranch. Nearest town 15 miles. The women worked very hard to to make a profit from the cattle. Schools taught girls how to be a house wifes. But with the brilliance of the women and me sending money home from my military monthly, they were extremely successful and grew buying several other businesses in a larger town. They all sold the businesses most got married. My big surprise was they taught all their children how to get passed those obstacles. They all willed a large sum of money which I gave to their children for their education and other things. We have rabbit holed so many things for so long. It's time for a change.
I love bloopers offense, I think sides is a smart, tough coach. But she ran her mouth against the golden goose. That is now in the WNBA. I hope Blue gets hired
This Indy coach is already dropping the ball. That's why Steve Kerr was perfect for Steph Curry, he was a prolific 3 point shooter himself and even though it was painful to watch at first he let Steph be Steph, then Klay and then they changed the game, you don't consistently hit threes you don't win games. This Indy coach already seems wrong for CC.
lol, she was mediocre her entire career BEFORE Clark. Problem now is, Clark's media promotion brought new eyes and high expectations to her program for the first time in 25 years...with Clark gone, the pressure to retool and perform at the same level will be unprecedented for her career. Coaches at UCONN or SC face this pressure every year, but for Bluder it would be a first. Her response was to quit so she wouldn't be responsible for retooling. its also a money grab - never before the past year has so much sponsorship money and promotion been around the Iowa program. Bluder looked at her choices and figured the easy money - with no pressure to recruit players and win games - was her best choice. Look for her to take some sports job with a corporate sponsor or join the broadcast booth, but you won't see her coaching - too much accountability to win doing that.
Just two preseason games and already Clark's fans want to fire the Fever's coach and say that her teammates (again) are not up to Clark's level. But what's wrong with you?
What's wrong is they are largely ignorant...these aren't the brightest light bulbs in the pack. Remember, these folks are mostly "new" to the game due to being swept in by the mass marketing promotion campaign that featured Caitlin Clark the past 18 months. NCAA Women's basketball is 50 years old and the WNBA is 28 years old, but these folks just found out about all this 12-18 months ago, so you aren't dealing with the swiftest, most aware folks. No surprise you get all kinds of irrational and overly emotional comments from them...their knowledge is low.
I think it's so unfair to the women who entered the transfer portal and joined the Hawkeyes. They were expecting a world-class coach, not an assistant. I also wonder if Bluder may be doing this so the WNBA would consider contacting her to coach the Indiana Fever, especially after the unflattering comments about Bluder from the current Fever coach, Christie Sides. Another factor is that Bluder knows she has no chance in hell of reaching the heights with future teams that she had with Caitlin Clark. There would be a firestorm in Iowa if Bluder ran a losing team, so she figured to bail out of Iowa now. Kind of like what Nick Saban did with Alabama. lol. One more side note: Christie Sides has also been critical of how Clark is performing her game on the court. I wonder if Clark secretly contacted Bluder and asked if there is anything she could do to advance the chances of being asked to coach the Fever.
Lisa is coming to Indian, you can tell by Caitlin's face in her interviews. You know they talk all the time, and the WNBA will make it happen asap. Can you imagine the ticket sales if this is announced. Christie should become the assistant for a few years then take over again.
Oh absolutely WNBA gonna fire Christie because she critiques CC on areas she needs to work on and hire bluder 😂😂😂 man yall are out of touch with reality 😂😂
its ok to be critical but why go on public? she should told her at their training session. its too early and yet she already building a wall between them.
All the talk of Bluder going to Indiana, lol. Bluder couldn't win anything at Iowa, but she's going to win championships in the Pros? lol yeah, right. WNBA pros know Bluder is an empty suit...she'll end up taking a job in broadcasting or cashing in with a job working for one of the multi-million dollar marketing sponsors that funded and promoted her team last year. Bluder doesn't want to be held accountable for recruiting top players or winning championships - hell, that's what's she running away from, lol.
SHE LEAVING FOR A REASON! You don’t just retire after your golden goose leaves something has happened and I would love to be a fly on the wall to find out what is actually going on with them! 🤔🤔🤔😳👀👀
This ain't rocket science dude, lol....she's leaving because for the first without Clark, her performance will be under scrutiny from millions of more fans who will be expecting her to keep the train rolling like coaches at schools like UCONN and South Carolina do every year. Bluder has never worked under that level of expectations to bring in top players and win the championship - the Clark thing merely fell in her lap when Clark decided to stay home. Now that all the new eyeballs will force Bluder to actually recruit NATIONWIDE for the best talent and quit making excuses that it can't be done, she quits.
Hannah Stuelke should've entered the transfer portal and transferred to LSU. Bluder made sure she waited until the portal was closed to retire. Stuelke doesn't get the respect she deserves there. She would fit in great at LSU.
