I don’t see orange in Strawberry Shock. On me, the pink is what undergirds the red. I find with the Luxuriously Lucent colors, not only complexion, but lip tone makes the difference. Je Ne Sais Quoi is a favorite. I love her lipsticks and can rock most of them. Thanks for your review.

@@ClaruBeauty Yes, I have Cinnabar in velvet and Jazz, also in velvet. I like them both. I am thinking to get Strawberry Shock. I also have the lip pencils in Cinnabar, Jazz, and Blush which is my favorite.

As much as I enjoy the Chanel L'Extrait lipsticks, I am very, very keen on the colours of these Lisa Eldridge lipsticks. The L'Extrait are a very limited colour range; these, however, are all so beautiful and diverse.

Hi Anna 👋 I just uploaded a video with many swatches and answering your question among a few others....🥰 hopefully it would help your decision. In summary, Sunday Matinee has more orange to it...and petal is cooler in tone. You will see in the video that I wear different blushes and how the tone of the lipstick makes a difference, even though they do look very similar.
Every single one of these looks stunning on you! 😍 You seem to have the perfect skintone / undertone for these shades, although Lisa’s lipsticks look amazing on so many different people. Oh thank you! And please let me know what the experts at the store recommend for you, I am interested! After reading your message, you got me inspired to go and search how the colors look in deeper skin tones, now, I don't know how deep your skin is or what undertone it has.....for the more chocolate brown or reddish tones, I love a dark lipstick like Velvet Decade (for a bold look) or Meet me in Berlin (new) softer look. If you have more golden tones then I would choose towards lighter shade. Overall I would move more toward the shades with orange hues, one that keeps pooping in my head is Rainbow Spill, now it is a wild color, so you would really have to own the bold color look (same like Velvet Morning - oranger red). You don't see many deeper skin tone wearing it so at the beginning might be, not so sure to wear it, but I do believe precisely for that reason it would be a turning heads sore of color. My skin colour is somewhere between 25-30 in Lisa’s foundations, depending on the season. I have quite a golden undertone when I’m tanned, but I think I lean towards neutral most of the year. My lips are quite pigmented - pink with some brown on my top lip. I have Velvet Decade and Meet Me in Berlin (as well as far too many others!) but I want to try shades like Sunday Matinée (too peachy?), Kitten Mischief and Rose Official (too mauve?). I’m also toying with the idea of buying Atomic Cherry and Wonder Wheel as a gentle intro to orangey-reds and coral-pinks. I think Rainbow Spill and Velvet Morning might be too big a leap for me 😅
Hi 👋 I thought I had answer to your comment, sorry for the delay....don't know if you already got them I find Night Thoughts very different than Meet me in Berlin Night Thoughts is darker (like you say) and more berry in it....that surprised me. And Meet me in Berlin is softer, but more in the browns....(maybe some red in it) so the later one is more toward the colors coming up for fall, very brown like, those usually don't look well on me, but somehow this one does. Berries look good on me to begin with so Night Thoughts works too. Hope this helps and/or if you already got them let me know👍🎵
Hi, I am so agree with you: for your complexion, new wave is the most beautiful color. It brings «life » to your face and is great with your grey hairs and very blue eyes. And i am still agree with you for the name of the lipstick strawberry shock: the color reminds me something tropical. Certainly not strawberries. The sunday matinée is a safe color… i prefer bold colors. With my blond grey hairs, my blue eyes and my bold black glasses ( frame), i need a bold lip color. I tried the strawberry shock this morning and it was really really gorgeous because my complexion is tanned by the holiday sun. I was thinking wonder wheel is the same color. But no: on my lips, wonder wheel looks like a fuchsia pink ( nothing special)… but i mixed strawberry shock with wonder wheel, and it gave strawberry shock a slightly more pinky shine. My daughter tried wonder wheel and the color changed into a darker pink ( quite a berry) on her lips. I still don’t know if i will keep or not palazzo: Andreea Ali who is a mua in Paris ( Guerlain, Dior etc) wore it in a tutorial ( from today) and it was great, but her complexion is olive and i have a neutral to light cool ( peach) complexion ( mix between 8 and 10 LE foundation). She said palazzo is more a night shade than a day shade. What do you think about that? Will wait for your challenge about the lipstick rosy shell 😉…but would be very interested with a bold lip using palazzo compared with…Cinnabar or dragon? Thanks for your video! Just an advancement.....I would wear Palazzo during the day...it is milder; than any of the other bolder colors and I wear those during the day as well.🥰....I wear them in the video so you can see the difference. 🙏💞
Your dog is lovely! I have Lisa's lipsticks in the lucent and velvet formulas but I don't have any of the insanely saturated ones. I find the velvet formula a bit drying. I have dry lips anyway. I was wondering if the insanely saturated formula is as dry as the velvets or is it more creamy? I think New Wave looks beautiful and would love to get it but only if it's comfortable to wear.
Hello Tina 👋 the Insanely Saturated Lipstick is more creamy than the velvet thus more comfortable to wear. They are not as light as the lucent, so they have a thickness to them, almost like the velvet do. I wear them for my special days because they are bold, (that could be a lunch with a friend) so that is not enough to dry my lips, but for every day comfort as much as I like the lucent, I go for balms....because they are just fabulous and warmer for my lips (since I don't go out of the house much this days - if I did, I would wear the lucent). So I just got my order of LE lipsticks. I agree that Sunday Matinee is just meh 🫤 but the formula is great. I am interested in purchasing some additional LE lip products. Are there any colors that you wouldn’t recommend? Are there any colors that deviate from what is described in terms of color?
