Well you're right but what if people don't want to listen to Lisa Fischer? There's more female vocalists (Jazz, Opera, Bluegrass, Pop) that did all of what these ladies on a daily basis. One could easily listen to Maria Callas or Joyce DiDonato to hear that as well...

She pretty much needs more recognition as of other singers .

Xavier Smith she stated in a video that she went to school and was trained as a classical opera soprano..... which is why she is about to still sing them. When your trained your taught proper technique and it’s up to the singer to stick with the technique.

+Bledszy, trochę śpiący She has a low tessitura? She has the tessitura typical of a soprano. She consistently sang in the soprano tessitura from G5-B5 consistently. She is still capable of belting multiple G#5s and shows constant support in the soprano tessitura. Mezzos can't do that with repitition. She has a fully connected head voice that extends all the way up to G6. How in the world she's a mezzo? Do you hear the ring in her head voice? That's indicative of a soprano. She's a Full-Lyric Soprano.

I know that hitting a G2 doesn't make a singer automatically a contralto. Yes Grace Jones can hit C6s in mixed voice as a mezzo, but could she stay up there? No. The difference between her and Lisa Fischer is the fact that Lisa Fischer's voice lives in the soprano tessitura. She has endurance and stamina in the soprano tessitura. If she wasn't a soprano, she wouldn't be able to consistently sing in the (G5-B5) region. A mezzo soprano can't do that repetitiously the way she can no matter how excellent one's technique is. Take Beyonce for example, she has one of the best techniques in this business, but she will never be able to mix in the soprano tessitura repetitiously because she's a mezzo. A mezzo's voice sits lower and you can hear that Lisa's voice clearly sits high. Lisa Fischer is a soprano. Listen to the brightness of her mix and head voice. If she was a mezzo, her head voice would have more of thicker sound. Her head voice is bright and ringy in color, which also gives indication that she's a soprano. She can also access her head voice notes above C6 with constant ease. A mezzo wouldn't be that comfortable above C6 comfortably. She has to much ease in her upper range to be a mezzo. She's not a mezzo, she's a Full-Lyric Soprano based on her anatomy and registration.

The crazy part is she can still climb up and hit thise high notes when she wants to she just doesn't do it all the time and definitely not exactly like back in the day I think she's taken great care of her vocals for all these years and I don't blame her with age plus she still wants to keep her vocals in good health I wouldn't go that high all the time either plus over her long career she's done those electrifying highs and super head voice registers so many times and her voice matured with age she'll probably be singing till she dies like Aretha Franklin thanks to her caring for hrr voice keeping it in shape.

+KusanagiRai Yeah! She has many influences: R&B, Soul, Jazz, Rock and Roll, Classical... To me, she sounds more like Rachelle Ferrell, sometimes, especially in some low notes! diva doll exactly. She had a taste of the Hollywood glam life, and it wasn’t 100% for her, at least in a solo way. The way she gradually began to find her own style is just so inspirational. Just so you know, if you ever wanna ask her a question, just send her a message over Instagram. I’ve asked her multiple things, and she’s answered multiple times. Things like her mixed background, as I saw some comments speculating that her label made her look more Asian, to be more of a mystery when it comes to her racial background. She just responded: “I’ve been interested in that too, here’s what I found...” then she sent some racial groups. Her looks 100% match the different parts of the world she mentioned. Love her! :) She’s such a sweetheart.

diva doll amazing. They were amazing too! He showed genuine love for his team of people. It’s clear in the performances. They look like they’re having fun, whilst singing their vocal cords out!

But she also had issues with the record label too she stated that's why she went back into background singing also yes she has been deprived she should be way more known to the world as a vocal athlete but as she stated she didn't want to put up with the toxic music industry she deserves her flowers for sure and some tributes, many people don't even know who she is and that tragic to me.

GarageStudio Her belting range, agility, musicianship, musicality, was definitely on par and surpassed Lisa in agility, musicianship, and musicality. But her head voice, consistency(due to her nodules) and lows were not on par with Lisa. So yes in general she and Lisa were on the same level. Both are my faves.😊

Most definitely a full lyric soprano as she has a warm and bright tone especially the head voice but sounds womanly and a bit darker than light lyric but doesn’t have enough weight to be a spinto so definitely fits full lyric soprano

Voyage Fest Not a Coloratura soprano, I haven't listened to her enough to know if her voice blooms as she gets louder like a Spinto Soprano (Whitney) 😊

I think she's a Full-Lyric Soprano

I think she's a full-lyric soprano like Ledisi and Lara Fabian. She has a rich timbre but her voice is mid-sized and lives very high. She can push it low into contralto territory and into spinto/dramatic volume but it lives around B3 - G5, with fullness up to and well past C6. I'm still training but I experience elements of this and that's how I know I have soprano elements to my voice. Her voice lives in the fourth and fifth octaves. Full-lyric voices can superficially sound like the voice type one below (Celine Dion & Paul McCartney sound like mezzos and baritones), but the brightness is apparent in their voices as they go up and their comfort in higher tessituras are what indicate full-lyric soprano & tenor rather than lyric mezzo or baritone.

She is a Full-Lyric Soprano.
